*1. What is your Stake username?*
Gloriousoz
2.*How much time on average do you spend on chat every day?*
I spend an average of *6-12* hours daily actively engaging in chat. I’m not just present, I participate and observe trends across different time zones.
3.*Can you briefly explain what the job of a moderator is?*
A moderator is more than a rule enforcer — they’re a bridge between the community and the platform. They create a safe, welcoming space, encourage meaningful interaction, de-escalate tension, guide new users, and maintain the culture Stake represents. A good moderator prevents problems before they arise, not just reacts to them.
4.*Why do you want to become a moderator on this chat?*
I've noticed that the Nigerian chat often gets overlooked, with many messages going unanswered, and at times the energy becomes chaotic or off-brand. Dialect differences is not encouraged so users are stuck with a language pattern, poor communication, and lack of cultural nuance can create misunderstanding and tension. I want to bring *structure*, *warmth*, and *cultural understanding* to this space — not only translating the language but the emotion behind it. My goal is to elevate user experience by making every Staker feel seen, heard, and valued — whether they speak Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa, or Pidgin. I’m not applying just to moderate — I’m here to *represent* and *build that Nigerian atmosphere*.
5.*Have you ever been warned, muted, or banned?*
Yes muted on different occasions but I now understand and respect the rules, and always strive to keep the chat positive and respectful.
6.*Have you ever been a moderator on any other platform?*
Yes, I’ve moderated several Telegram and WhatsApp communities — handling thousands of members. I’m trained in community psychology and conflict resolution. I know how to de-escalate with empathy and authority.
7.*Are you prepared to work at nighttime?*
Absolutely. I’ve already been doing this informally. My commitment is full — morning, noon, or night.
Thank you for kind consideration.
