However, I often have the chat open on a second monitor while working/studying, allowing me to monitor the conversation for closer to 8-10 hours a day. I am very flexible and can easily adjust my schedule to cover gaps where moderation is needed most. 3. Can you briefly explain what the job of a moderator is? The primary job of a moderator is to ensure the chat remains a safe, welcoming, and fun environment for all players. This involves enforcing the community guidelines (removing spam, begging, and harassment) while remaining impartial and professional. Beyond enforcement, a moderator acts as a bridge between the platform and the players, answering basic questions, de-escalating conflicts before they turn toxic, and fostering a positive sense of community. 4. Why do you want to become a moderator on this chat? I have been part of the Stake community for a while now, and I’ve seen how chaotic the chat can get when spam or toxicity takes over. I genuinely enjoy the vibe here when it's clean and active, and I want to contribute to keeping it that way. I have a thick skin, I’m good at staying calm under pressure, and I want to help new players feel welcome rather than being scared off by trolls. It feels like the right next step for me to give back to a platform I enjoy using daily. 5. Have you ever been warned, muted, or banned? No, I have never been warned, muted, or banned. I make it a priority to read and respect the rules of any community I join. 6. Have you ever been a moderator on any other platform? Yes, I have moderated for so many Discord servers like Nigeria Gamers, PUBG Hardcores, Call of Duty Mobile:9ja server e.t.c on Discord. In those roles, I learned how to use moderation bots, handle dispute tickets, and remain neutral when users got emotional. 7. Are you prepared to work at nighttime? Absolutely. I understand that Stake is a global platform with players active 24/7. My schedule is flexible, and I am specifically available during late-night hours 12 AM - 6 AM (WAT) when chat is often less supervised but still very active.
