’Tis the night before Christmas, and all through the town,
Not a sound could be heard, not even a frown.
The snowflakes drifted like secrets from the sky,
As hopes for tomorrow quietly passed by.
I sat by the fire with a mug warm in hand,
Thinking of moments I hadn’t yet planned—
Of chances once missed, and dreams still untold,
Of courage found quietly, braver than bold.
Then suddenly—footsteps, soft taps on the floor,
A gentle reminder of something much more.
Not riches or gifts wrapped in glittering shine,
But time shared with others, a moment divine.
For Christmas, I learned, isn’t found in the race,
Or the luck of the draw, or the wins we all chase.
It lives in the laughter, the kindness we show,
And the faith that tomorrow still has room to grow.
As the fire burned low and the night drew to close,
I smiled at the warmth only Christmas bestows—
Grateful for stories still waiting to start…
Merry Christmas to all, and good luck from the heart. 🎁✨
