On January 21, 2011, I began a love story that I thought would be the end of my search. For almost 12 years, we were together, growing, dreaming, and planning our wedding. I was sure she was the woman who would be my wife.
But on my birthday, October 21, 2022, everything came crashing down. She chose to marry someone else. In one day, I lost the love, the plans, and the future I had built. I was devastated, depressed, and felt like a failure.
When everything felt dark, one person remained by my side: my mother. With prayer, patience, and simple words, she strengthened me. She assured me that what had left wasn't my destiny, and that God was preparing something better.
Thanks to her support, I recovered. In early 2023, I married a woman who truly loves me. Now, in 2026, I live happily with my wife and a son who calls me Dad.
I've learned that loss isn't the end of everything. Sometimes, hearts have to be broken before we can find our true home. And a mother's love is my biggest reason to persevere and stay strong.
