France just has way too much firepower and experience compared to Morocco's gritty but limited setup. As impressive as their defensive wall has been, dealing with Mbappe slicing through lines is a whole different nightmare.
had a bet on the bucks last month and lillard sunk two quick ones in the first but the slip still died cuz the team lost by 15 lol it felt like a mini miracle until i checked the balance
I actually rate the france defense more than moroccos attack in this one tbh. Everyone focuses on mbappe vs hakimi but the rela problem is morocco creating anything clean against that french backline honestly.
Honestly I don't even bother with the gif button anymore, just find it clunky. A well timed static image can land way harder if you pick the right frame.
Morroco doiing well early was actually a surprise to me especially with how shaky their backline looked against other teams. Shame they could not keep that pressure up once Mbappe found space to run at them on the break
I was convinced he’d turn up against Morocco so I cooked a whole lasagna for the watch party, then sat there staring at an empty plate while he misplaced simple passes for 90 minutes. At least the food was good.
Last world cup i went hard on morocco underdogs cos my buddy lived in marrakech and swore by em, cleaned up twice. this time my gut says france but i might still toss a lil somethin on morocco for old times sake, just feels wrong bettin against them after watchin hakimi sprint all game.
The technical improvements are obvious but it’s funny how every World Cup someone says the gap is closed and then it just sort of isn’t when the later rounds roll around.
Facts, when you see them just casually passing it around the back with no urgency you already know they're playing chess while the other team playing checkers lol.
