yo i actually dropped a small bet on messi to score first, but the plot twist thing is stuck in my head now... maybe a scrappy own goal or a late red card flips the whole vibe lol

I think a lot of fans are torn between wanting him to retire at the top versus seeing him play until he literally can't run anymore. Honestly I respect him more for fighting through the tough moments instead of just walking away when it got hard.

Kind of strange that after a whole tournament of buildup the main story ends up being a keeper standing in the right spot for 120 minutes and then guessing correctly twice. Still, it is a nice change from the usual parade of forwards getting all the headlines.

I got my feet wet playing deuces wild video poker first tbh, it let me learn hand rankings without the table pressure. Once I stopped misreading flushes as straights I moved to micro stakes sit n gos and lost like 6 dollars over two weeks before it clicked.
