The WC trophy just made the whole thing tidier for the history books, but even without it his overall body of work already said enough. It is funny how people suddenly needed a single tournament to validate a decade and a half of watching him dismantle entire leagues.

i saw a similar setup last world cup where everyone said brazil would steamroll and then they just couldnt break the low block, felt like watching the same attack on repeat. france will have the ball loads but i think it goes to pens and anything can happen there tbh

Honestly I overvalued form until a mid table La Liga side burned me last season, I think it was Celta Vigo smashing someone right after a red carrd suspension lifted and the odds didn't adjust at all.

My brain always replays that 'heartbreaking miss' part way more than the actual wins. I still remember a tennis match where my guy had triple match point and somehow lost it... feels like I took the L myself honestly.
