Honestly I love it too but I have way more fun with low stakes home games where no one takes it too serious. Something about folding to a 72o bluff from a buddy and just laughing it off hits different than grinding online tables.

I tried going all in on youth with Ajax in FM once and by the third season my squad average age was 21 and we bottled every big match. Now I just sign one experienced center back who’s pushing 30 to keep everyone calm, works much better.

France always clicks when it matters, I still remember that 2018 run where Mbappe was just a kid destroying Argentina's defense like it was nothing. Morocco has the whole underdog magic going though so I wouldn't count them out just yet.

I remember putting a small bet on France during the World Cup final and my heart sank when Mbappé missed that early chance, but they still pulled through in the end. It’s never a smooth ride with them but that’s whaat makes it fun to watch.

My bet's on France as well but I'm not holding my breath after how they stumbled through the group stage last time. It feels like one of those matches where they'll dominate possession and still end up making it look stressful.

Next time I'm waiting until the group stage is fully done before touching any Portugal player bets, the fatigue from his club season was obvious from minute one. Honestly just watching his pressing stats drop off a ciff was enough to fade all his props afterwards.

Pele is the safe bet every time but watching Maradona drag Argentina through that 86 semi against Belgium was just filthy, like odds on him scoring that secoond solo goal were probably nonexistent.
