Dear Stake Team,
I am writing to apply for the moderator position in the Stake chat. Below are my responses to the questions provided:
1. What is your Stake username?
My Stake username is Mitschel24.
2. How much time on average do you spend on chat every day?
I spend between 6 and 12 hours a day on Stake, as I work from home and have a lot of time to monitor the chat. I am constantly available and keep the chat open throughout my workday, ensuring that I can assist and support the community whenever needed.
3. Can you briefly explain what the job of a moderator is?
A moderator ensures that the chat rules are followed (which may vary between different rooms), fosters a positive environment, and promptly addresses any issues. In my role as a moderator, I would not only enforce the rules but also work to maintain a welcoming and respectful atmosphere by de-escalating conflicts and ensuring that everyone feels comfortable and heard.
4. Why do you want to become a moderator in this chat?
I spend a lot of time in this chat and feel like an integral part of the Stake community. I am skilled at de-escalating heated situations and maintaining a calm, positive atmosphere. I genuinely enjoy fostering a welcoming environment, and as a moderator, I believe I could contribute even more to making the community a better place. I’m passionate about helping the community thrive, and I would love the opportunity to be more involved in maintaining a positive chat experience.
5. Have you ever been warned, muted, or banned?
Yes, I have been warned once, but that was quite some time ago. I believe it happened due to a misunderstanding or a minor mistake. Since then, I have always ensured that my behavior is in line with the community guidelines and I’ve made it a point to avoid any further issues.
6. Have you ever been a moderator on any other platform?
Yes, I have worked as a moderator on other platforms in the past, including on various forums. Additionally, I currently work in a customer-facing role from home, where I regularly manage communications, handle conflicts, and ensure a positive, productive environment. This experience has greatly honed my skills in communication and conflict resolution, which would be valuable in a moderator role.
7. Are you prepared to work at nighttime?
Since I am self-employed and can set my own working hours, I am very flexible with my time. I am usually available from 9 a.m. until late at night, often until 1 or 2 a.m. I am open to adjusting my availability based on the team's needs, and I can be even more active if required. I am not the most active writer in the chat, but I always keep an eye on it and ensure everything runs smoothly whenever my PC is on.
Kind regards, Mitschel24
