Answer: On an average, I spent 10 to 12 hours every day. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Question: Can you briefly explain what the job of a moderator is? Answer: Having modded crypto groups earlier, I believe the tasks are simple: Keeping conversations healthy: I always keep an eye on the conversation happening within the Indian chatroom. I notice we could keep the conversations healthy — and in the right direction. As a mod, I believe my job is to ensure everyone follows the house rules — so the conversation is healthy — while also having a little bit of fun. Step in during bad behavior: People are people. Some can be nasty. In such times, as a mod I can step up and take the right corrective action to ensure the entire chatroom has a healthy and uplifting vibe. Making sure everybody is safe: This ONE is big because there are bad actors out there — who regularly stalk, send scam links, and so on. In fact, I am a Plat V user on Stake, so I know how folks chase me. I have been on the receiving end. So as a mod, my job is to ensure everyone is safe — safe from bad actors. Ensure privacy safety: This is key and comes down to what we discussed earlier. Emphasizing on this because in the Indian room lots of people are sharing their personal information, sharing phone numbers, and even creating groups — they are all doing this while forgetting the basic risks involved. Handling timeouts or bans when someone crosses the line: This one is a no-brainer I suppose. I have seen so many folks in the Indian chatroom receiving ban hammers. My goal is, once again, to ensure there is a healthy vibe in the chatroom and bad actors take a step back over time. Improve the process: I believe everything can be improved with time. I can always connect and discuss with the higher-ups to improve the process of modding — and stay aligned with what's going on globally. I can create frameworks, playbook on modding, and even align with the timezones. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Question: Why do you want to become a moderator on this chat? Answer: I have 5 specific reasons for this: Perhaps silly but the first reason is: I love Stake: As a Play V user in India, I always enjoy playing Stake — including slots, card games, cricket, IPL, and so on. I have explored the entire website and have a solid knowledge on the workings. So if any member needs any direction? I can point them to the right direction. Attention-to-detail: I have been a writer, so I understand the significant of tiny details. I even took couple of hours to draft this response - create image - format the text. This attention-to-detail can be helpful in modding as I can create a better environment for the users. I understand the users: I understand the sentiment of the Stake users in India. The reason is: I am a user myself. I understand the trends — like the IPL is going on — and the ever-growing questions that appear. I am fluent in Hindi / English / local language I am flexible with the situation: Perhaps sounds a little too self-complementing here (lol) but when the situation demands? I will ensure the right decisions are made — while keeping the goals in mind.
