My name is Vaasi. I am a man. I had a black shirt and white pant on. It was late. I was walking home. The street felt strange. It was too quiet. I was thinking about my fear: the darkness. Suddenly, the street turned into a long, closed hallway. The walls were black stone. The floor was black stone. The ceiling was gone. It was just a narrow, endless corridor. Then the lights went out. Total darkness. My worst fear was here. I could not see my black shirt. I could barely see the white of my pants, just a blur at my knees. I tried to walk fast. But the hallway was not ending. It felt cold. I put my hand on the wall. The stone was wet and sticky. I pulled my hand back fast. Then I heard footsteps. Tap. Tap. Tap. Not mine. They were slow and getting closer behind me. I tried to run, but the darkness made me clumsy. I tripped over nothing. I fell hard on the black stone floor. I looked back. I could not see anything, but I could feel it. A huge shape was standing right where the footsteps stopped. It was big, tall, and made of the darkness itself. It was the only thing that felt solid in the black air. The shape did not move. It just stood there, breathing heavy. I could hear its breath, slow and wet, right behind my head. I tried to scream but no sound came out. I knew this dark thing wanted me to stay on the floor. It wanted me to feel the full darkness closing in, waiting for it to finally touch me. I closed my eyes. I felt a heavy, cold shadow fall over me.
