I used to record voice notes every night — random thoughts before sleeping. One evening, my phone battery died mid-recording, so I plugged it in and left it charging near the bed. Next morning, I played the last voice note I had recorded. It started normal — my voice talking about how quiet the night was. Then, about halfway through, there was silence for a few seconds. And then… a whisper. Not mine. Not even close. It said my full name. Slowly. Clearly. As if someone was standing right next to the mic. I froze. I replayed it again — the same whisper, same breath, same tone. I lived alone. No open windows. No one had been in my room.
