Hello everyone, I'm posting today not just to vent my frustration, but to raise a serious issue with the community. As a player who takes poker seriously, my experience on Stake Poker has led me to suggest that perhaps the platform should be renamed "Bad Beat Poker." On this site, mathematics and probability seem to have lost all meaning. Holding premium hands like AA, KK, or AK feels like you have negligible equity. Time and time again, after committing a significant portion of my stack with a dominant advantage, the river card miraculously completes my opponent's long-shot draw. This is no longer about simple bad luck; it has become a predictable and unbelievable pattern. What puzzles me the most is that the platform's mechanics seem to systematically punish players who follow standard, solid strategy. Conversely, it consistently rewards reckless, aggressive players and calling stations who chase any and every draw. The chip leaders (who are often the more disciplined players) are constantly getting cracked, bleeding chips to opponents who are gambling rather than playing strategically. This "reverse incentive" structure makes me question the platform's fundamental design. Is it engineered to create drama, or is there another motive I'm unaware of? Considering Stake Poker's player pool isn't massive, the frequency of these bad beats far exceeds any normal variance one would expect from online, let alone live, poker. The more critical issue, however, is the lack of transparency. Driven by my suspicions, I contacted customer support to ask if the platform has a certified Random Number Generator (RNG) from a verifiable, independent third party. This is basic information that most legitimate, mainstream poker sites display publicly as a cornerstone of ensuring fair play.[3][7] In response, I received nothing more than a vague, "please trust us" style of reply, with no substantive evidence to prove their deal is truly random. On a platform where the rake is already excessively high, players not only have to beat their opponents but also the significant house cut.[1][2] If the fundamental fairness of the deal cannot be guaranteed, it is a profound injustice and an insult to any serious player. I am posting this to ask if other players have had similar experiences. As customers, we have the right to play in a fair and transparent environment. I strongly urge the Stake Poker management to address this issue head-on and provide third-party certification for their RNG to alleviate the community's doubts. Thank you.
