I like to start with a few stabs at 100px before jumping into my normal targeting. -

You'll never double safely. I personally sit on 30x and then take occasional shots at bigger numbers for a few hits.

I usually just jumped around with the occasional shot above 1000x, then try to grind at 13x between shots
