Nvidia frowns upon miners

That is great that they are banning miners from using the consumer grade cards to mine with the upcoming release of the Volta architecture.

What do you guys think? Was this a good move on their part? Making the miners fork up extra cash to buy the more expensive cards to mine? I surely don't like paying a premium for a 2 year old card just because a buncha miners bought up the cards and inflated the price. Kudos to Nvidia

Dang but as a consumer we should be allowed to mine with whatever product we want unless its illegal. This will be bad for Nvidia since many miners might move onto AMD cards

I say let them have the AMD cards lol. AMD gpu's need all the help they can get anyways XD. #TeamGreen.

Well not actually i have two sets of GPU's in my pc but the AMD card gives me more fps than Nvidia in games but Nvidia gives higher hashrate in mining  Also AMD cards and Nvidia cards have chips that are made by MSI so there will be a slight difference only. But only problem with AMD is that overclocking it is very difficult with MSI afterburner.  AMD isnt like a dying GPU but good one only thing it isnt recognized much by the people.

What cards are you running? I'm too poor to upgrade my GPU because the're so damn expensive :(. I currently am running an older GTX 960. Hoping to upgrade to a 1060 soon. Maybe an AMD vega card

AMD Ryzen 7 1700X and for mining i bought the best one Nvidia Geforce GTX 1080 founders edition . But try this also its cheaper but works good but its MSI but good MSI GeForce GTX 1070 not too cheap but cheaper than the cards i have
