wry Posted July 22, 2018 #1 Posted July 22, 2018 I've often thought that Bitcoin and similar crypto currencies are especially useful for citizens in countries that have lots of financial repression or suffering from economic calamity. Venezuela today and Zimbabwe from a few years about would seem to be the perfect examples of where BTC could really help many citizens. So I was pleased to see the news today that Paxful was making plans to enter Venezuela: https://www.coindesk.com/paxful-bitcoin-crypto/ The first half of the article is about Africa. Not sure how successful there since services like M-pesa are already there and I think with lower fees than 1% each way. Not sure how much it will help the people there, but I like the idea of anything to help highlight the potential of bitcoin.

Kate Posted July 23, 2018 #4 Posted July 23, 2018 If paxful accepted their country coin to be exchanged to currencies then that would help them a lot
