as you can see as of now bitcoin is going up high while alt-coins have steady price or going down

is their a possibility that bitcoin is affecting alt-coins price?

Not sure about this. Since I always thought when bitcoin goes up then altcoin will also rise

i dont think so, if you need to buy alt-coin you need to buy bitcoin first 

there are some coins that you can buy directly from it but all most all of the coin cant

before going to an exchange you need to buy bitcoin first right? 

most of the alt coins are bitcoin to alt coin transaction 

some only are fiat to alt coin

But there are exchanges that have USD to altcoins too

In the past when bitcoin has gone up, other alt coins go down, it's a "flight to quality" event.  The exception was the fourth quarter 2017 when excitement about crypto surged and EVERYTHING went up.

yep i m so happy i wanted to excahnge 2 mil sats to etherum in my wallet and accidenty sold all the btc i had in ethurum  5 days ago... and i see btc going up and my shitty eth the same how bad luck can u have ..

haha well as for me i exchanged all of my btc last last week and now im poor as rat, didnt expect btc to go this far

This was the first time from the very long when bitcoin went up and alts went down, the king got his domimance back and now alts are connected with BTC again, imo at the end this scamcoins will die one by one.

Off course there is a possibility that bitcoin is affecting altcoins as you see that at the start of this year bitcoin jumps to 21000$ than altcoins like bitcoin gold also jumped to its life highest 400$ and now as bitcoin dumps all the crypto market is down.

Dear there is a huge difference between 21k $ and 8 K $ and one more thing is that most of the coins you can buy by exchanging bitcoin to that specific coin and that affect the price of both bitcoin and that coin.

This isnt true since there are like 2 sites in my mind where you can buy btc at 8k right now. Localbitcoins i sold btc at 6.5k when it was 6.1k

Yeah i know that site as well and even a better site than localbitcoins that doesn't need any documents verification and stuff like that and that website is remitano may be you are familiar with it or not.

Document verifications are required by the seller or the buyer to trustfully buy from them or sell
