superman295 Posted September 21, 2024 #1 Posted September 21, 2024 How does the straight not get all the chips? Am I losing it? I'm not arguing the fact I got my chips back. But IMO this is a flaw.
stormball Posted September 21, 2024 #2 Posted September 21, 2024 it will happen in case players doesn't have same amount of chips. you can only win the amount that you risk. for example: we have 3 players: A B C. A have 1k chips B have 3k chips C have 5k chips. if all players allin. we will have 2 pots. 1 main pot with 3k chips from each players. and another side pot with 4k chips from B and C (2k from each). and C will get back 2k chips because he had paid enough amount to play with A and B. in your case i can see: the player on your left is the one who have least amount of chips (about 1k7 i guess) so he can only with 5k3. the player on your right is the second one who have about 2k7. so after he lose to A he still have 1k on the side pot with you and he won, so he get back 2k. and you who have the most chips. but you lose all of them. so, you will lose 2k7. feel free to ask more question if you still don't understand
superman295 Posted September 21, 2024 Author #4 Posted September 21, 2024 Yeah you're right I didnt think the guy with the straight had less chips. Looking at the replay made me think he went all in. At first glance I'm like wtf. Stormball is correct.
