jyau Posted September 30, 2024 #2 Posted September 30, 2024 (edited) 1. jyau10 2. Only just starting spending some time there but would love to spend more time there if it meant being a mod 3. Warn people of being disturbing to others, remind others to not use caps lock, and keeping the chatroom a friendly and safe place for people to hang out. 4. I've been using stake for a very long time and I think it would be fitting that I'm a mod on a site that I spend so much time on anyways. I've grinded to my Diamond rank primarily doing sports so I would love to moderate a chat that encompasses that topic 5. I have not been warned, muted, or banned. 6. I have not been a moderator on any other platform. 7. I have a messed up sleep schedule so I can be online whenever you need a mod present. Edited September 30, 2024 by jyau added a thought

sportsguy Posted September 30, 2024 #8 Posted September 30, 2024 (edited) What is your Stake username? sportsguy How much time on average do you spend on chat every day? I spend on average 9+ hours a day in a month on stake sports chat. I am also in the sports chat for longer than 12+ hours on the weekends. I am currently unemployed in my real life and would be available as required for this role. I will take this job seriously and will give it my best effort. Can you briefly explain what the job of a moderator is? To ensure users are having an enjoyable sports chat experience without breaching the rules set in place by the stake team. Moderators are usually secondary to the main discussion and are present to ensure everyone has a good time and feels part of the stake community. Moderators also from time to time will answer queries regarding promotions that are run by stake. They will provide clarifications that are mentioned on the stake site rules for users. Sports chat moderators should also know the rules of various sports and betting rules specific to stake. Different platforms have different rules for certain scenarios. For eg. Betting tennis on stake, the money line bets for bother players are void if a player retires at any point of the match, whereas, some betting sites have rules where the winner after retirement is graded as a winner for the bet. Knowing these nuances is helpful for a sports chat moderator. Sports chat moderator is a where specific role considering some sports might be delayed and such and as a active sports bettor knowing how to help the users in chat appropriately is key. This is a bonus skill in my opinion which is very beneficial to continue providing a good chat atmosphere. Why do you want to become a moderator on this chat? I want to become a sports chat moderator because I have been part of the chat since 2019 and have a good understanding what the role of a stake sports chat moderator is. I have bet on nearly all sports available on stake and am aware of the nuances of the sports betting process. I have wagered extensively on varying lines on sports that make me a good candidate to provide accurate clarifications. I think I have the respect of a lot of individuals who routinely chat in the stake sports chat. I have been a sports bettor for a decade plus and am well versed with regards to the sports rules specific to stake. I genuinely enjoy spending time with the people in sports chat and feel like they are a part of my existence as a human being. The sports chat on stake has helped me emotionally in times when I was down. They've cheered for me when I have an active bet knowing they might not get anything in return. Regardless of my daily life struggles the sports chat on stake is a way to destress and spend quality time with familiar folks. I believe being a moderator is my way of giving back to the stake sports chat. I believe I can ensure that everyone has a good time when they are in stake sports chat in my presence as a moderator. I genuinely believe that other chatters view me as someone they would like to have around. Due to all these reasons I believe I would be well qualified to be a sports chat moderator and would be welcomed as a sports chat moderator by my peers. Have you ever been warned, muted, or banned? Yes, I have been warned and muted but never banned from the stake sports chat. I guess in violation for breaching the rules unknowingly sometimes. I am not a perfect human being. I sometimes forget the rules regarding specific things so I have been warned regarding breaking the rules for those minor infractions. My mutes have been valid as well. I have been muted for sharing a link to a block chain transaction that wouldn't confirm and mods responded but I stepped away after asking the question and asked multiple times so that resulted in a ban. But I haven't been muted for any major infractions. Getting warned and muted has taught me to respect the rules. I have become a better person for going through them and understand how to enforce the rules without overstepping the bounds. Have you ever been a moderator on any other platform? Yes, I have been a moderator in large groups online before professionally for my work. I have also been a moderator on YouTube chat for a few users. In addition I have been a moderator on other content sites as well. I have extensive experience in driving proper engagement in a chat setting whilst ensuring the rules are followed. Are you prepared to work at nighttime? Yes, I am available to work at nighttime. I am available at odd hours or during high demand times. I am fully committed to taking his role seriously and being available when required putting aside personal commitments. Please consider my application for the sports chat moderator role. I am also thankful to @cdot and @WivBoat who have been long time friends and believe can vouch for me to be a responsible moderator. I have had great interactions with them as users and current or former sports chat moderators and I believe you can consult them to judge my character for this role. Thank you to the stake chat moderator selection team for giving me this opportunity to be considered for the role of stake sports chat moderator. smf9 Posted September 30, 2024 #9 Posted September 30, 2024 (edited) 1) What is your Stake username? Hey, Im smf9 2) How much time on average do you spend on chat every day? From 6 to 12 hours everyday, because I work from home most of the time 3) Can you briefly explain what the job of a moderator is? Personally, I think a moderator should first and foremost be accommodating to the people in the chat room and the community, but should also be impartial. He should not look down on other people and suspend them from chat because of personal dislike or any emotions. He should be positive and honest, pay attention to every problem and follow all the rules, not to restrict people in the chat room in their thoughts and words, but to maintain order by not letting them overstep the boundaries of the rules. And of course I know that I will have to consider and respond to appeals on the forum. I am prepared for that, too 4) Why do you want to become a moderator on this chat? To be honest, I just very much want to maintain a cozy atmosphere in the chat, I do not want to hear about political conflicts or racial attacks, I do not care who sits on the other side of the screen, from what country and what nationality he is, I just want him to be a friendly and interesting person. It is important to me that any person who comes to Sports Chat immediately feels part of the community and is not insulted and does not receive any negativity, it is important that he can get support in case of a bad day and congratulations in case of his winnings 5) Have you ever been warned, muted, or banned? Yes I was muted for 6-7 months because of your system has detected multiple links to other accounts. So I just did KYC2. Also I was muted 'for begging' once for 4hrs, but if you check the appeal, you'll realize that I didn't actually do it. But anyway, I accepted it and was in mute for 4 hours 6) Have you ever been a moderator on any other platform? I have never been a moderator on any gambling platform, but I was mod on Kick and Twitch channels. 7) Are you prepared to work at nighttime? I have a totally flexible schedule, so I can pre-arrange what time I need to be in the chat room and fulfill it Thanks for the opportunity!! 🚨⚠️📢❗ PS 🚨⚠️📢❗ I don't care even if it affects your decision of my application and I will not get picked, but I have to say it, I want it to be fair. As soon as this post was released, some people who have NEVER been in SPORTS CHAT before, literally not even once, were among the first to post their applications and immediately ran to SPORTS CHAT to write as many messages as possible to be seen there, it's ridiculous, shame on them. Moderators job is to keep the chat clean. What is keeping the chat clean? Well. Answering questions, muting people that spam/toxic/beggars etc. (Specifically for sports chat also probably engaging with other users in sport related topics, since I watch prem/la liga/serie a and bundesliga. I feel like I'd be able to add alot to it) 4. I've long wanted to be a moderator because I feel like alot of begging/toxicity etc is not seen by all moderators (which is fair because alot of people are typing). But if you check my record I've been alot of times telling moderators to mute beggars, Alot of times have I given names. 5.
