Poker insane rake

I saw that the rake in poker is 7%. I have never seen a room that has such a high rake. Everyone will lose and poker will disappear in the medium term. Is there a way to reason with them?! A petition lol

Well.. on tounaments it`s 10%..

10% in tournament is standard and not huge. You pay one time. In casg game you pay on each pot you win. I was looking for all rooms. The maximum rake is 5.75% cap 5$. Average is 5% cap 4$ for nl100.

7% rake will cause very shortly the end of poker cash game on stake.com

Why? Stake has basicly no pro players. And with almost only recreational players, nobody cares if it`s 5, 6 or 7%.

I understand that this is to make it impossible to have winning players on their site but they will look smart when there are no more tables at all!

Even if it has only recreational players, the difference between 7% and 5% is just to make completly impossible to win  ! including against whales ! I assume you have no experience with rake.

poker has been integrated into the house wagering/ladders and benefit.

also you have no idea of the amount of customer they have...that will pop up once every few weeks/months win or lose then run in a matter of minutes just in the past weeks the players pool has completely changed...all the tuffer cookie are all gone, probably because they end up losing for one reason or another

personally i stop because i got hit by a series of set up and unlucky runout i couldnt fade..and at point what's the point of playing if all you doing is being on the defensive , until it happen you get brutally stack , however it happens

I'm totally agree so it's more insane to increase the rake... What do they care if a few players win money ? With 7% rake, the room isn't attractive anymore. At the moment people stay here but when they will understand they loose to fast they will leave. Only because of those 7%...

I came on stakes to play poker but yeah with this rake the room is not attractive. 7% is the highest rake on the market by far. I think they should reduce it if they want stakes to become a big poker place.

isn't it 5%? for me when i allin 100BB with another player. the pot will be 200B and it only take 10 from mine.
i oftenly play at 0.05/0.1 tables
