what you mean by bank account? can you make it clear for me pls?

They have a separate account to store funds.

I did it for a short bit, but I was really just following the trend then, can't be bothered to at the moment. Suppose it might be worth it for those with large numbers on the site, etc.

Wasn't the idea behind bank account that the stake didn't allow to bet small amounts after you reach 1 mil? It used to be like that. When you reached 1 mil you couldn't bet less than 100K that's why people created bank accounts to transfer funds there so they can bet with less money. I reached 1 mil in early days of stake and that's how it was. But recently I reached 4 mil and I could bet any amount even 1 satoshi.

I don't remember there being any such restriction for bet sizes, I do recall the minimum tips being much higher. Those limits have been reduced multiple times since.

So even when I have 1 BTC I can bet 100 satoshi? That's good, because it wasn't like that since the beginning. I remember in the first few weeks of stake when you reached 1 mil you could bet only 100K. I swear this happened to me. Maybe it wasn't like that with deposits? I made that from faucet and was shocked. The amount balance chanced so there was only 0.0010 the rest of the zeros were gone.

I know most of us created an alt for the purpose of storing their BTC or ETH

But is it effective for you guys?

It really depends on the person. It may be useful if you are a regular gambler that makes lots of deposits and withdrawals.

Having a bank will decrease the withdrawal fees you pay, and will allow you to make one large deposit.

However, if the player lacks discipline, then it is too easy and quick to transfer funds from bank to main account, and in that case, I would not suggest getting a bank account :)

Hey everyone :)

I was wondering how many users actually have a separate bank account on Stake, which they use to store their extra coins, for quick and easy transfers to and from your main account. I can see the clear advantages of this, as it saves you from having to do withdrawals or smaller amount if you want to "bank" your profits, and allows you to tip your main account instantly if you want to play (hence no need to wait for your deposit to show up). What do you guys think of having a bank account?

Is it worth it for you, or do you just accumulate your balance on your account, and make withdrawals when you win? I would love to hear your thoughts :D

Bank acc is worth ONLY if you can't access it :D Otherwise...

I saw in chat soooo many times: 1. User X won nice bet! 2. User X sent some to Xbank acc 3. User started to lose 4. Xbank sent same amount to user X. 5. Red all in in hr of user X... 6. User X msg in chat: "damn! F***! Rip!" :D

I think the most effective bank account would be one that you will not have easy access to, lol. For example like giving it to another person you trust to safeguard it from your impulses.

I think yes, so you can control yourself on gambling and not busted all your coins. Always seperate some of your profit into your bank account.

a bank account really wouldn't be anymore effective for me because as soon as I bust I'd be taking right back out of my bank now that I think of it I think if I had a bank account it would always be broke lol

i guess bank accounts are not that effective since i tend to play my money with it. i guess it would be much more effective if it has some kind of time deposit system so that i won't be able to play with it xD i hope that the vault on the coming updates would offer this.

Since as Dan said, the incoming updates would bring forth a Vault for storage of players' balances it should cause some changes into the saving behaviors of players maybe? ;)

It would all come down to your own self-discipline really. It is like if you go to the casino with $1000, and you only take $100 inside and leave $900 in the car. If you don't exercise some restraint, leaving it in the car is irrelevant, because you will just walk out to the car, and get some more money when you lose.

Well this is a sound explanation. But it still helps even a little to help restraining yourself feom gambling cause you might get too lazy for it haha.

Imagine leaving it in the house rather than in the car xD

Or having your wife hold onto it haha
