Mazda3 Posted August 11, 2018 #1 Posted August 11, 2018 Litecoin (LTC) operations are now available to all users of the Telegram messenger. The new function Litecoin Lite.im was developed by Zulu Republic startup blocker. Based in Zug, Switzerland, the company is developing decentralized applications (DApps) and "is an ecosystem of digital platforms built on Ethereum (ETH) blockbuster." According to a report published on the Zulu blog, the new Litecoin feature will allow users to use Litecoin services with text requests via the Zulu LTC API. The company emphasizes that it does not manage private keys of users, they are encrypted using RSA and the user's personal password. Lite.im will allow users to send commands to check their current LTC balance and send LTC to a specific purse or e-mail address. In the future, the company intends to implement the possibility of making LTC transactions via text messages (SMS), so that even those users who have not very good Internet connection could make Litecoin transactions. The startup states that of the 64 percent of the world's population that own mobile phones, only 33% have a smartphone with an Internet connection. Zulu stressed the decentralized nature of this development, saying that it is aimed at countries where "the Internet connection is limited and where the Internet is censored by autocratic regimes, and large segments of the population are marginalized by the usual financial system." The statement also says that users will be able to send Litecoin "to those who do not already have a Litecoin purse, or to someone whose wallet address is unknown, and even if the recipient has no idea how to use crypto-currencies."
