As I can see, the first valid bet posted was 5 minutes after the Challenge started, the second one was posted 16 minutes after the Challenge started, etc etc.

yeah i agree this challenge today is unfortunately way too hard (at least compared to the other challenges). unless you are using a bot pretty much almost no chance

Eh, if I don't like the game or feel like a challenge would take too long I just ignore it. This one is still in the realm of possible even if time consuming if you have lousy luck.
