Kargai Posted August 31, 2018 #1 Posted August 31, 2018 At least that was stated Yassine Elmandjra, crypto analyst at ARK Invest. "According to Yassine, the top cryptocurrency has seen tremendous growth in its transaction volumes since 2013 and it has reached $1.3 trillion transacted value and is only “an order of magnitude” away from that of leading processor Visa." 2 things to note tho. First we can't compare Bitcoin and say Visa or MasterCard in terms of their Base layer transaction volumes + the numbers are taken from 2017, so basically it's not the case anymore today (until cryptos rise again at least). To really compare what's happenin nowadays, BTC transactions in 2018 are equivalent to $1.3 trillion when Visa made $8.9 trillion in 2016. bauwerax Posted August 31, 2018 #2 Posted August 31, 2018 I belive in that bitcoin will be out-performed Visa..Nobody did not belive that BTC will be over 5000$ in 2014-15..Same thing will be happened again.

Oh yeah, definitely. If you think about it people barely even use cash anymore and people never thought using plastic (visa) would be as huge and surpass real coin. And I think Bitcoin will be the same tbh and crypto currency in general. It helps that it gives you more privacy too.. with how governments are trying even more to monitor and restrict the internet, there's too many shady things going on etc.
Shaniqua Posted August 31, 2018 #4 Posted August 31, 2018 well that is not too surprising : ) im glad its starting to be noticed from the world at this point, would be nice if the usage of BTC to buy USD stuff was more widely known like bitpay etc... but one that you didn't have to load the card first.
