The department send their official for education tour with regards to cryptocurrencies and ICO. It is indeed a great step not only in India but ofc to all countries for them to fully understand and get educated by this new technology. What are your thoughts anout this? sid021sp Posted September 4, 2018 #2 Posted September 4, 2018 Crypto currency have both merits and demerits , So understaning the crypto technology is great .
kurian Posted September 4, 2018 #3 Posted September 4, 2018 It is a positive sign from Securities and Exchanges Board of India (SEBI). Moreover, Reserve Bank of India also confirmed that they are keeping a close watch on cryptocurrency. This actually gives a little hope for the citizens as these two regulators had made a move prior to the final hearing (Sep 11) on crypto related petitions in Supreme Court. There is a chance that court might revoke the current RBI ban on Crypto-fiat transactions. P.S:I was going to make a topic on this. Glad I made the decision to browse through other topics first
Kate Posted September 5, 2018 #4 Posted September 5, 2018 Good to hear about India trying to get more people to know about crypto
AquaViki Posted September 5, 2018 #5 Posted September 5, 2018 Doesn't change a thing, unless they get down to regulating it and are able to complete that work within a 1 year timeframe. It took them 7 years to make a stand on crypto and they are still not clear on how they wish to proceed about it.

AquaViki Posted September 5, 2018 #7 Posted September 5, 2018 i think Giottus already found its way to work around that. so the ban is only on paper as yet.
