bitman007 Posted September 10, 2018 #1 Posted September 10, 2018 This is really very intersting and useful article about Bitcoin bey Michael del Castillo, Forbes Staff : Crypto & Blockchain Who cover enterprise adoption of blockchain and cryptocurrency. The sense of urgency is everywhere I look. Bitcoin is dying, and it's time get a new job. The warnings are stark. Bitcoin’s price has lost 70% since its $20,000 peak last year, the Securities and Exchange Commission has rejected every bitcoin ETF it's seen so far and Goldman Sachs has delayed its much-touted roll-out of bitcoin trading. Bill Clinton’s former senior economist Nouriel Roubini can’t seem to stop talking about the “useless” cryptocurrency, and even the controversial Wolf of Wall Street Jordan Belfort, who pleaded guilty to fraud relating to stock market manipulation, has said that bitcoin is headed for the scrapyard. AquaViki Posted September 10, 2018 #3 Posted September 10, 2018 As long as all the exchanges use BTC as base pair, it will survive any and all predictions. We only need to worry when the ways of use for BTC start reducing. The current scenario is because people joined only for its hype to get rich quick without understanding the concept / technology behind it. But with the correction, attempts to getting rich came at a halt for a while and so the negative criticism around it. These same people will switch sides in a heart beat when the price soars again.

Taking a stand of your own and believing in your decisions is very essential. The risks involved in crypto are numerous but so are the benefits. You just need to take in stride the negatives with its positives :). Read a lot, its helpful to form an opinion and stay firm on it :).
ScooterPi Posted September 10, 2018 #6 Posted September 10, 2018 I am by no means an authority on this.....but I can say for certain, market manipulation is a thing. Deep pockets, meaning big, deep pockets in NYC and Chicago especially, have a big interest in bitcoin and big name cryptocurrencies. Regardless of where price ends, the important part for them is to maintain a large enough percentage of the asset for their means. The same rules of economics and stock market now apply to crypto, unfortunately. So for the time being, we just take btc value at what it is for today.
wry Posted September 10, 2018 #7 Posted September 10, 2018 First off, there is no way Bitcoin can die. As long as there are still people mining it, and we can always go back to idealistic hobbyists doing so, it will live. However, that is very different than a Bitcoin being worth $19,000 or $10,000 or $6,000 or even $1,000. Here they may have a point. I can understand the urgency. Bitcoin's value proposition, a deflationary currency used on a decentralized network, is perfect for people in places like Venezuela, Iran, and Argentina. If the man made economic disasters they are confronting have not spurred wider adoption, it is hard to imagine what will. The fact of only 21 million coins ever is comforting, as in the scheme of things that is NOT a lot of coins, but if no one cares then easy to see it go lower and lower and lower. I still believe in the bitcoin project, but it's getting harder to believe in bitcoin profits. I really hope I am wrong.
JackBoi Posted September 10, 2018 #8 Posted September 10, 2018 I completely agree with you guys, I dont think bitcoin is dead, it is at its price and where it should be! Now it will climb normally, all the hype is done with. HDOL for life baby
Fernando Guar Posted September 11, 2018 #9 Posted September 11, 2018 Bitcoin is not dead, he's just resting for a big jump
angellabhe Posted September 17, 2018 #10 Posted September 17, 2018 they say the ethereum will kill it. its 4x faster than btc
ceastem Posted September 17, 2018 #11 Posted September 17, 2018 i guess bitcoin is not dead yet and will only grow bigger in the future. more and more people are investing and almost relying on this already. its just a huge fluctuation like before, last year it hit rock bottom much lower than today's and skyrocketed in december. Therefore, nobody can say its dead until it's dead.
Powermaster Posted September 17, 2018 #12 Posted September 17, 2018 I think Bitcoin is a new future, something very volatile, I hope it will soon double its value ...
247 Posted September 17, 2018 #13 Posted September 17, 2018 bitcoin will never be dead as long as some is still using it in our country we can pay bills using bitcoin
bmg Posted September 17, 2018 #14 Posted September 17, 2018 Bitcoin is not dead . I feel that its going to grow a lot. These things take time soon btc will be bigger than its $20,000peak. So no bitcoin is not dead not even close.
icoinvesting Posted September 20, 2018 #15 Posted September 20, 2018 I think Bitcoin is able to pump up for years to come.
williamshennie9 Posted September 20, 2018 #16 Posted September 20, 2018 Bitcoin is definitely not dead, and will never die. I just think the price has settled now in the range of $6000-$7000
MarkInvestment Posted September 20, 2018 #17 Posted September 20, 2018 Then the question is, when can we expect jumps? I bet that up to 9000 the minimum will jump, the question is when.
KURTAULI Posted January 28, 2020 #18 Posted January 28, 2020 Yes, bitcoin is impossible to disappear or die because no one controls it and cannot be stopped at all because it is a virtual and decentralized currency
yuchan Posted January 30, 2020 #19 Posted January 30, 2020 There have been many parties who tried to destroy and kill bitcoin, and all ended in failure. In my opinion bitcoin is not will never die as long as there is supply and demand. And now the demand for bitcoin continues to increase, so it is impossible for bitcoin to die. Bitcoin is the most powerful and popular cryptocurrency, so it's the most rapid growth compared to other cryptocurrency. With such rapid growth, I'm sure bitcoin won't die.
Devil2020 Posted February 20, 2020 #20 Posted February 20, 2020 While it is true that Bitcoin prices—and by extension most other cryptocurrencies'—crashed in early 2018, the volatility that once defined the market appears to be gradually fading.“Cryptocurrency is nowhere near dead," according to Ceek VR CEO and founder Mary Spio. Magdsolieman Posted April 5, 2020 #21 Posted April 5, 2020 Bitcoin heading towards scrap? It's really strange that it is evolving and becoming more amazing Bitcoin. You will not die so easily. Any economy in the world is going through tough times, but this does not mean that it is heading towards scrap, as Balfour said.
BidaManEris Posted April 5, 2020 #22 Posted April 5, 2020 I believed at first that cryptocurrency will eventually die, but now I think about it that it is now just an overstatement. It will fall to abysmal levels, but it will never die, as it has already established a strong foothold on the market for investors to reconsider it again and again no matter how many times it goes on a bear track.
Touhid Posted April 5, 2020 #23 Posted April 5, 2020 Bitcoin will remain and become the main crypto, indeed many think bitcoin will weaken and be replaced with other coins, but in fact bitcoin is still the main one.
marcos225 Posted April 5, 2020 #24 Posted April 5, 2020 bitcoin is not dead btc is thriving if you look at what it started at and what its at now its an insane multiplier
Kariuki Posted April 5, 2020 #25 Posted April 5, 2020 Bitcoin is not dead but it has been trying to define its functionality so its important we are all suppose to be able to stand and be able to run the market with it, it has to be adopted for it to fully be able to stand at every cost, so when we have about 5% of the traditional fiat , taking its business to crypto we will then have a definition that this is going to be the best thing ever as we can tell
