How did I lose this bet when it should have ended up as a divided pot? (As I understand)

Both of us has a straight- 10-J-Q-K-A

The chat support got back to me saying that their poker team has deemed this bet to be legitimately settled.

This looks like Omaha.  You have to use 2 cards from your hand unlike Texas holdem . You got 2 pair he got a straight . You lost

Like islandgrown said he got straight you didnt as you need to use 2 of your 4 Cards in omaha.

You have 2 pair. Im Omaha you MUST use 2 cards out of your hand and 3 from the board.
