Answer: Easter morning I make oval shape pancakes to look like an egg then the kids decorate it with whip cream (I portion the whip and use different food coloring to mix it so there’s color options)

Around noon or so we watch a movie then start an egg hunt I also give them Easter baskets I make the night before.

Dinner I always make a ham on Easter. Then we all bake sugar cookies in various shapes and decorate it for dessert!

When we got to be teenagers my mom would do a money hunt inside the house. She’d hide $1 bills everywhere. Our friends would come over and we’d all do it together. I cannot stress how much fun this was, and we only recently stopped doing it since my brother and I have young kids now.

Answer: A few years ago I started doing a scavenger hunt for their basket instead of eggs in the yard. It’s a little different each year, but it starts with one of them getting/finding the first egg, reading the couplet inside and using that to find the next clue egg. At the end when one has their basket/final item, the next kid’s first clue egg is there so they start the hunt.

One unique tradition in our family is making Easter morning pancakes shaped like bunnies. It started as a fun idea for the kids, but now it’s something everyone looks forward to—even the adults get involved in flipping and decorating them with fruit and whipped cream.

We had a very small stuffed toy chick and every easter, we'd go round to my grandmas, RIP, then one of us would stuff it way somewhere in the living room whilst we waited outside and counted to 30. A tradition I will pass down to my own family :)

Every Easter Sunday we make a big breakfast, with chocolate mixed in with the bread and cake (laughs). It's the only day that everyone sits down together calmly, chats and enjoys the moment without rushing. Simple, but full of value for us.
