williamshennie9 Posted September 22, 2018 #2 Posted September 22, 2018 I think regardless of whether bitcoin is considered "money", it is an asset that has value, which to me, is all that matters As long as bitcoin holds it's value as an intangible asset, it can be exchanged for "money" so either way we are good
Mlc Posted September 22, 2018 #3 Posted September 22, 2018 I agree with you William , it is a asset , its an investment as well as a commodity and its fast becoming a source of reliable currency that can be used all over the world , some countries even consider it a more stable than currency their own money , so for me it is real money in a digital form ,
la_st1 Posted September 22, 2018 #4 Posted September 22, 2018 I see bitcoin as an asset much like gold. Theoretically you could use it to buy a loaf of bread but in reality it is too much of a hassle. someone needs to invent the paper money of blockchain then we will have mass adoption. Sharding may be the answer.
bmg Posted September 24, 2018 #5 Posted September 24, 2018 Well in my opinion of course it's real money I didn't think so whenever first started using Bitcoin but when I got my bitpay card my mind was changed. Of course it's real money to me when I can easily take whatever amount I have of Bitcoin send it straight to my bitpay card and turn it directly into Cash instantly
aninka Posted September 24, 2018 #6 Posted September 24, 2018 Haha if you convert it in real money it will be real
Stephenmans194 Posted September 24, 2018 #7 Posted September 24, 2018 i consider it money since it's got money value, you can convert it to real money so yes.
Bigmann23 Posted September 24, 2018 #8 Posted September 24, 2018 Yes btc is real money. If you can buy things with it and its excepeted buy those selling what you need or want the it is currancy plain and simple.
ceastem Posted September 24, 2018 #9 Posted September 24, 2018 I'm hoping that someday it will be real money i can use in my country without having to convert it. although fees are small, it becomes quite a punch if you convert often
wry Posted September 24, 2018 #10 Posted September 24, 2018 Medium of exchange, store of value, and unit of account. Bitcoin does well on two of those three. It's as "real" as the electrons in my bank account, maybe more so!
