Hey there.

I know I'm neither an admin nor developer, but I may answer your question.

Unfortunately, there will always be abusers but with the faucet lowered, it will be much harder for them to farm it. Furthermore, the faucet is there to help the new users get started and check how the games work and, of course, to have something to play with between the deposits.
