Hello everyone,
was trying to complete the challenge of the 5 red diamonds when I asked myself:

What is the chance of falling 5 red diamonds in a game?

Anyone good in statistics, or excel, to answer my question?

Is it just that I kept asking myself that?

Edit1:

The game has 7 different diamonds:
Yellow, orange, red, purple, blue, and two colored.
the statistical calculation is
1/7 * 1/7 * 1/7 * 1/7 * 1/7 = 1/16807

this means that the chance is 1 for each 16807 games, or approximately 0,00005%

I gave up after hitting 4 red diamonds like.... 10 times in 2 days. I just went screw you diamond poker and blew everything on dice yoloing :/

Thanks for the calculations though, looks like the chances of winning that one was slim as hell.

Every roll the chance reset, so your % it's false.

which is almost impossible since every roll the chances restart

I can not see where it could be wrong. Maybe I did not understand you.

I wish there was a bot for diamond poker, like the dicebot they have. It would make life so much easier, even for this week's challenge...

Would save a lot of time with certainty :)

From May until today, I have only ever gotten 5 red diamonds once. After seeing your probability calc, I guess I should feel lucky with that!

It was months ago that I hit it.  The only reason I remember so vividly is because I thought there ought to be a higher percentage payout for such a rare win! lol

And yeah.......i eventually gave up on this challenge. :)

Luck plays a very very important part in this....

One night a High Roller promised 0.01BTC if you rolled a 5-of-a-kind.

I did it, and several other people too.

And then somebody asked "if you hit 5-of-a-kind twice, you will pay twice?" and the High Roller answered YES.

So I started trying again, and half hour later got another 5-of-a-kind.....

So lucky. When i did the hodgepodge challenge, it took me 5hours. XD

I guess luck plays a very vital role in this just like in every challenge. I wasnt even lucky enough to be there the night that you are talking about haha

The calculation is OK, its 1 chance every 16807 rolls.

You must remember this is an average.

This means that if you hit 1000 times the 5-of-a-kind and make an average between the number of rolls needed each time, you will get a number close to this one.

But it can happen that you get the 5-of-a-kind in just 1 roll, or it can take 100K rolls, or even more.

The chances are so low, the ones who got the challenge, you are so good xD

yeah they are very low for sure...
that you got right, and its just a matter of luck thats all,
there is no user affected  input on this game for the outcome,

its either you win or lose... and the cards you get totally random
