Clinton Posted April 21, 2025 #1 Posted April 21, 2025 Do you believe luck is the key factor in winning on Stake, or is strategy more important?

rhix27 Posted April 22, 2025 #4 Posted April 22, 2025 strategy is the best coz it works everytime you do, while luck is just for a while, too seldom to have it.Â

Ekon Posted April 22, 2025 #6 Posted April 22, 2025 Great question, Clinton! Honestly, it’s 80% luck and 20% strategy. You can have the perfect plan, use all the best multipliers, play volatility like a pro — but if the algorithm doesn’t bless you, it’s a dry run. That said, strategy keeps you alive longer. Bankroll management, choosing the right games, timing your bets — all of that helps you survive long enough to finally catch that lucky break. So yeah, luck gets you the win, but strategy helps you not lose everything before it happens. What’s your take? You more of a planner or a full-send type?

Personally, I’d say I’m more of a planner, but I’m curious, do you lean toward calculated moves, or do you prefer to dive in headfirst and let fate decide?

Thanks for the thoughtful follow-up, Clinton!I’d say I definitely lean more toward calculated moves. Over time, I’ve realized that diving in without a plan might bring short-term thrills, but it rarely ends well. Strategy doesn’t guarantee wins, but it gives you a fighting chance to stay in the game longer and avoid tilt. Still, every once in a while, I throw the rulebook out and let fate take the wheel..sometimes that’s when the magic happens. What about you—have you ever gone full YOLO and hit something crazy?

Yes, Ekon, I have! One time, while playing Lightning Dice, I intended to bet $5 but accidentally wagered $55 instead. Fortunately, I won 2x from any double! Yeah bro, I actually prefer a mix of both 😅luck and strategy. I plan my moves, play with a structure, but at the same time, I trust my luck when I go for the big multipliers. Without that blend, it just feels off. Sometimes the most unexpected spins bring the biggest surprises, you know? How do you usually decide when to stick to the plan and when to go wild?
