Implement Preferred Chat Selection Upon Account Creation or Future Update.

Hello Stake team and community,

I would like to suggest a feature that could enhance user experience and reduce friction in the chats: Mandatory Chat Preference Selection either during account creation or through a prompt in a future update.

🔧 How it would work:
Instead of giving users access to all available chats by default, users would be required to select one preferred chat (e.g., English, Deutsch, Français, etc.) as their default upon onboarding or during a future platform update. This preference could be changed later through settings, but the user would remain bound to only one chat at a time unless in suport configured account.

Benefits:
Reduces Moderator Workload: Prevents “chat jumping,” where users switch between multiple chats to bypass mutes, ask for money, or participate in events from chats they do not belong to.

Improves Community Focus: Encourages more meaningful participation in a single chat, fostering tighter communities.

Simplifies Event Participation: Future chat-specific events would only be visible to users within their preferred chat, reducing confusion and abuse.

Supports Global Events: In case of major cross-community promotions, Stake could implement a temporary or special “World” chat for broader announcements or activities — as illustrated in the mock-up.

📸 Visual Reference:
Please note that the attached images are edited mock-ups for illustrative purposes only. They are meant to demonstrate how the chat preference selection could look in the UI.

Thank you for considering this suggestion. I believe it would improve chat quality, strengthen community interactions, and help moderators manage the space more efficiently.

Kind regards,

Dear @f4r1nh4,
Thank you for contacting us.

Thanks so much for taking the time and putting thought into this idea. We really appreciate it!
I’ll pass it along to the team in charge so they can take a look.

Personally, I really like what you came up with. I had a similar idea, but you explained it in a much more complete and thoughtful way. Nice work!

Regards,
