The Collapse of Etherium is Inevitable?

Etherium is one of the well known cryptocurrencies in the web right now and it rose 13000% last year to it's all time high peak price of $1418.

But as time goes by, seems like traders don't want to invest in the coin anymore as it dumped below $300 recently.

As an owner or holder of this coin, do you worry that the asset will totally collapse with no value at all or it might rise again like its trend last year?

Charts shown below are prices from 2017 to 2018.

Just a disclaimer that I am no expert on these things. But it just seems so unlikely that something with a market cap of approx $23 B will collapse totally, and it is still the second place cryptocurrency (going by coinmarketcap statistics) even with this large depreciation.

Most sources that I read hold ICOs to blame for this, but I don't feel that alone can account for trends this bad - but would back up what you wrote about the interest of traders.

While ETH can potentially drop through the rankings, I personally can't foresee something as big as Ethereum ceasing to have value.

If Bitcoin grows enough to expose it's limitations further; people will turn to the big-name altcoins.

As an ETH holder I do worry a little; but that is cryptocurrencies, the future is always unpredictable - nobody should ever invest money that they would be greatly affected by losing, in any coin.

Okay I've repeated myself a lot and gone off on a tangent, hope that was comprehensible 😛

I personally do not think ETH with such a large market cap and also with it already implemented in daily uses and purchases in some countries such as Japan would completely collapse.

I like ETH alot as a gambling cryptocurrency as it is fun to play with and it carries a decent enough value although it has dipped alot from what it was at its most peak price point.

It would be interesting to observe what is in store for the fate of ETH towards the end of 2018 for sure. :)

Going to play devil's advocate here and say I have a feeling almost all crypto, even BTC, will drop. Reason is because so many new crypto currencies are popping up every single day. Granted, maybe 5% of these new currencies will actually reach anything of value, but more supply = less demand spread over all varieties.

Of course, the limited supply of BTC will counter-act that, but just which side will win in this push and pull scenario?

i believe eth will not  collapse  maybe its a trick of  markets so all people run and sell the eth  in  a low price and when the big sharks buy them all  it will   go to the moon   or it is just my mind tricks lol who knows ....i want to believe it  won't collapse

Same feeling here.  It will all go down, and not follow the trend like last year, but who knows, maybe we are wrong.
