tvisthol Posted June 26, 2025 #1 Posted June 26, 2025 One thing I dislike about Stake Poker is the tournament fees. Don’t get me wrong – it’s not that I completely disagree with them, I just don’t think they’re fair. For example, a high-stakes tournament might have a $275 buy-in, where $25 of that is just the fee. So if 10 people join, the prize pool is only $2,500, while $250 goes to fees – that’s around 10%. I believe the fee should be much lower, ideally around 2.5%, not more. The only time I find high fees acceptable is in games where you're guaranteed a fixed prize, like a guaranteed $XXX payout.
ROGGOR Posted July 1, 2025 #2 Posted July 1, 2025 I totaly agree on this. I have never played at a poker site with so high fees and low guarantees. It does not make sense with all the money stake earns to be so greedy and costly on the poker tables. It's the main reason ther are almost no regular players at stake poker.
