Snike Posted October 13, 2018 #1 Posted October 13, 2018 I was thinking with all these bugs in the new design and major update on stake some people would love to go back to the old version of stake with the simple designs etc. If there was an option like a button or something to choose which stake design or layout you want and you can switch it back and forth whenever you want, it would solve the bug problems and the newer updated version would be like a beta that everyone can use but it's not needed to play on it. Idk if anyone gets what I'm trying to say but it would be awesome if I could play on the old stake design as long as all the bugs in the new one exist.
Etude Posted October 14, 2018 #2 Posted October 14, 2018 A roll back you mean? Like going back to a previous software version where you didnt like the updated new version which is full of bugs? Well on reality, the developers would tend to impose the "Live with it and get used to the updates we give you. The end." On a serious note though, the efficiency of how well and smoothly the updates are being pushed each time can be rather questionable. I wish much more attention can be placed on a seamless transition when a update happens.
xtinepink Posted October 14, 2018 #3 Posted October 14, 2018 I definitely understand how people getting pissed about those updates but remember that technology keeps on moving and not stepping back. Imagine a mobile update, some people like it while others do not. Bottom line is we have to deal with it, our option would be a suggestion on how it can be improved.
Mistake Posted October 14, 2018 #4 Posted October 14, 2018 I hope spike read its or eddie or admin 1. Maybe im confused with new design 2. i like old design thtas so amazing 3. this chat look like smal hope they read hehe
williamshennie9 Posted October 14, 2018 #5 Posted October 14, 2018 I understand how you're feeling. A lot of us miss the old Stake, but the admins have said that this update is here to stay. I guess all we can do is give suggestions on how to improve the new version, since it doesn't look like we're getting the old Stake back
Administrator Edward Posted October 14, 2018 Administrator #6 Posted October 14, 2018 What exactly are you referencing in terms of the design? It hasn't really changed much in my opinion, minus a couple of chat upgrades & UX touch-ups. We actually completely re-coded not only the front end (Design, functionality etc.) but the back end. I understand a lot of bugs came with this, but we're pretty close to all of them being patched up. There was a list of over 200 graphical related bugs and now it's down to less than 30 I believe. Etude made a valid point in terms of seamless updates. The big changes made when we flipped over to a new codebase was not a very smooth transition. We've since made changes to how we test code before launching it.
bobdole Posted October 14, 2018 #7 Posted October 14, 2018 I came here after they changed it so I'd like to see what it looked like before but overall I really like the current design. It's very clean and smooth compared to a lot of other on line gambling sites that feel very clunky and put together without any thought for the user experience.

wngo123 Posted October 14, 2018 #9 Posted October 14, 2018 It's always like that. Users complain when knew layout is introduced. Doesn't matter if it's Windows or Stake. Some want to come back to "original design" because it was better in the past. But we need to move forward. I think the best solution is to do small steps in the design by adding new things slowly, not one big revolution. The best example is Mac OS. This system received only a few new design features every year, so users still feel like home, not like there is revolution going on. But if you look at that system from 5 years ago and compare it to Mac OS from 2018 it's a huge step forward. Same with stake. They should introduce changes slowly. I think that's what they do. And I love design look of stake. I don't like bugs here of course but I hope this can be easily fixed. 10 minutes ago, Etude said: Back in the days when the faucet is at least of 1000 satoshis per claim and more with a higher level! oh yes... I had 3200 sats faucet back then. Well.. but that's not design issue.

I remember when stake first opened up, it was so laggy and buggy lol.

I look forward to the improvements that will bring more enjoyment and growth to the Stake community.

If the whole change of stake (the update itself) was mostly backend+frontend changes then I understand the possibilities to have an option to switch back and forth remain low. I was thinking that the update and stuff was more about frontend changes with the design and chat so my idea was about that but nvm then Thanks for the official response and I'm looking forward for all the upcoming changes on stake! ❤️
Kate Posted October 15, 2018 #13 Posted October 15, 2018 Well not a neccessary need of this but it would be great to remember the histpry of Stake

Especially primedice, being one of the oldest btc casinos and all. Would be nice to see how its progressed and changed over the years. For both stake and primedice, I hope they atleast save it.
