Add Tamil Language Support in the Stake India Chat!

Hi Stake Team,

I’d like to suggest the addition of Tamil language support in the Stake India chatroom. Tamil is spoken by over 80 million native speakers and is one of the most widely used languages in India and across the globe (especially in countries like Singapore, Malaysia, and Sri Lanka).

 

Many Tamil-speaking players, including myself and my friends, would feel more connected and engaged with the community if Tamil were supported officially in chat. It would:

Help users communicate naturally

 Improve participation in events, rains, and discussions

 Encourage more Tamil-speaking users to join and stay active

 Support inclusivity for one of India’s richest linguistic groups

 

Adding Tamil as a supported language (either as a separate channel or enabled in India chat) would show Stake’s commitment to its growing and diverse Indian user base.

I totally agree with this suggestion. Adding Tamil support would be a really positive step toward making the India chatroom more inclusive. There are so many Tamil speaking users and having their language supported would help them feel more connected and comfortable joining in on chats and events.

That said, I also want to highlight something important. Hindi isn’t the only language spoken in India and it really shouldn't be enforced as the default in the India chat. People who speak multiple languages can manage, sure, but those who don’t know hindi are getting left out and worse, muted just for using English, which is actually one of the most commonly understood languages across the country.

Letting people use english in the India chat would make things a lot more inclusive and fair and better reflect the true linguistic diversity of our country.
