Kate Posted October 15, 2018 #1 Posted October 15, 2018 A formally well known and widely used coin as the USD coin called Tether which is considered to be the most stable coin has all changed. Usually when the coin would drop it would rise back to 1 dollar so its stable in that price soon but this time it dropped to 0.96 cents and stayed there for a very very long time. blueprints Posted October 15, 2018 #2 Posted October 15, 2018 Maybe stable in the name stable coin refers to a horse stable. So perhaps it was meant to be a horse coin.
EddieFx Posted October 15, 2018 #3 Posted October 15, 2018 Many people trust this coin to be at 1$, if you have alot invested a drop to 0.96$ could mean alot
Jakubb Posted October 15, 2018 #4 Posted October 15, 2018 To be honest, no coins are stable nowadays, are they? They always just do stuff we don't expect. Or do the otherwise, they do something so predictable.. It's hard to see a Stablecoin nowadays lol.
williamshennie9 Posted October 17, 2018 #5 Posted October 17, 2018 The price of coins are influenced by supply and demand. So I think it is almost impossible to get a 100% stable coin.
Etude Posted October 17, 2018 #6 Posted October 17, 2018 Then it has been given a very ironic name/title then as of now for this Tether being called Stablecoin. Maybe it would be more telling to see how it progresses towards year end.
