Dogecoin Is Worthless

Im having a tough time understanding why Stake adopted Dogecoin. They existed for quite a while without it and suddenly, there is is, being awarded as rain to the exclusion of other more valuable currencies. Dogecoin was created as a joke, to make fun of crypto currencies in general. I admit the fact that it is so well known gives it some validity but does not change the fact  that it is essentially worthless.

It's a fun currency to play with that the community demanded highly, the worthlessness makes us feel a little bit better about busting it.

Stake team is listening to it's players since there are a lot of players who is requesting to add dogecoin as your one asset to play .

I get that Stake is responding to its community and I guess they are correct in doing so. I just wish they didnt keep pushing worthless currency as rain.

its a smart business play on there half as the minimal doge withdraw is so high they essentially loose nothing and don't need to give valuable stuff away on rain (a great idea on there half)

They did the same thing with BCH, they'll change it back eventually

This is made for a limited period of time with all new coins, so that all users can play with them.

It will return to normal after some time.

It is true that doge was created as a joke, but it has hung on and appears to be a survivor, hell it even pumped a few weeks ago.  I like doge, it never took itself too seriously and it is fun to have lots of nothing.

I can understand your point about the rain being only doge, especially if you are not a fan, but as @maverick528 pointed out it's only temporary.  It also seems like the minimum tip is fairly high compared to the other coins on Stake.  I expect that too will evolve over time.

It's fun to play with for that exact reason. You can play with larger numbers rather than having to deal with so many decimal places etc.

It's quite fun to play with to test strategies and play recklessly. Also since it's so worthless, if you accidentally enter a wrong number (one less 0 behind decimal for example which I've heard many people do and then bust without realizing it), it doesn't affect you too much knowing that is less than a cent's value lol

I agree with this completely! That is what I love about it! You can also really add it up by being able to bet higher than normal. Then you can switch that over to other sorts of coins.

I agree! It doesn't make you feel guilty and you learn to bet higher and see what kind of strategy that works for higher betting.

Yes it was created as a joke, but the value is determined by supply and demand. So therefore it can't be worthless. It may be cheaper than other cryptos, but if you have millions of DOGE, I would not say that's worthless.

haha just kidding. Well for me just like what everybody said here, i love playing doge especially with big risks because i do not feel too bad losing some almost worthless coins which is good for me too since it satisfies my urge to bet and such haha.

" if they beg for 10 cents and each person from a church on a sunday after mass gave him 10 cents each, you think that's small? Its not actually, if you have thousands of it, it is a huge amount of money

so maybe just save more and trade.

Its a very popular coin with a huge gambling community already established within it. Just because its got a larger market cap and therefore worth less per coin, doesn't mean there's anything wrong with it, in fact, it is actually far more beneficial for its use cases over a coin that more expensive and less accessible.

It basically has value, but not that much.

I am not being sarcastic here, but dude, why would it stay in the market if you say it is ZERO value?

If you have like 10, 50, or 100 coins or so.. You can feel that it is worthless. But if you play like 300k to 500k coins in one go, then you might realize the coin's value. Personally, its just play money for me. But if reaches 6 to 7 digits, bro, its impossible not see its worth. ✌🏽

You just need to find the song that says what you feel.

Hmmm this is actually what I thought too and I was not very happy about so many new currencies introduced on stake. I always try to play with btc, but soon I realized that other currencies can be fun too and you can test out different strategies and additionally you can play challenges with coins other than bitcoin and don't feel bad about busting it and still receive awards in bitcoin  If  doge worthless remind me how much 10 000 doge are worth?  Actually it doesn't matter how much particular coin is worth because if you want you can always bet in single bet so it would feel exactly like you would bet bitcoin. Maybe you don't like the rain in doge because it's so low... well.. it's free so I wouldn't complain what we get for free.

Regardless of whether DOGE was created as a joke or not, the bottom line is that it has value. So by saying it is worthless is simply not true. If I have 1,000,000 DOGE, then means I can sell it for $5000. And there will be a buyer. So I really don't think it is worthless.
