ravenyvolle2 Posted October 18, 2018 #1 Posted October 18, 2018 One concern has been raised a while back in chat about people asking others for trades, loans etc in forums. And if the lender asks for the payment or traded amount back, it seems that the person involved is hacked or have no clue to whatsover has happened. So in these scenarios, it is best to upgrade your security, not only in your stake account but as well here in your stake forum profile. People may know about your passwords and emails, but if you have your 2fa on, they will have a hard time to log in and use your account. So at that moment, I immediately enabled my 2fa because who knows what people will do with this account and get blamed to whatever they will do. So be aware and get protected:P
williamshennie9 Posted October 18, 2018 #2 Posted October 18, 2018 Usually people don't think 2fa is important, until their accounts get hacked. And usually by that time, it's too late. I think it should be mandatory that every user enables 2fa on their accounts, not just in Stake, but every account they have on the internet. There are so many hackers these days, and it is so important that everyone has 2fa enabled

Administrator Steve Posted October 18, 2018 Administrator #5 Posted October 18, 2018 I highly recommend having 2fa enabled on your Stake account at all times.

But today, I realized this because my account at Steam got hacked because not enable Steam Guard Mobile Authenticator. Now I really need to use 2FA at Stake too, because hacker nowdays are getting smart and sneaky when you had a weak password or verification email, etc.
Etude Posted October 18, 2018 #8 Posted October 18, 2018 2fa is a 200% neccessity to secure your account as password in itself are no longer safe in 2018. Hackers are now somehow able to bypass or find out a way to enter accounts that does not have 2fa security enabled.
