Mlc Posted October 20, 2018 #1 Posted October 20, 2018 This fool might be clever with the workings of computers but seriously how did you ever think you would get away with trying to blackmail one of the biggest tech companies in the world ? A 21-year-old North London resident and computer analyst reportedly hacked 319 million iCloud accounts. The hacker demanded that Apple Inc pay $150,000 in bitcoin in exchange for him not selling compromised accounts sourcehttps://www.cryptoglobe.com/latest/2018/10/hacker-attempts-to-blackmail-apple-demands-150000-in-bitcoin-btc-for-not-selling-319-million-compromised-icloud-accounts/
hamlikakko Posted October 21, 2018 #2 Posted October 21, 2018 Did they?? Or just making a story to blackmail apple and get money??
williamshennie9 Posted October 21, 2018 #3 Posted October 21, 2018 Maybe he didn't hack the accounts, he could just be trying his luck lol And $150,000 is a small amount compared to the value of having 319 million accounts compromised.
EddieFx Posted October 21, 2018 #4 Posted October 21, 2018 I believe he might have hacked the iCloud accounts as apples security is not that good, Im a ethical hacker myself, I hve tried to find bugs in apples programs and there's ALOT. A iCloud account is not that hard to hack but he was kind of stupid for trying to blackmail apple, that would have never worked, he should just have told them what the loophole was and he might have been rewarded!
Etude Posted October 22, 2018 #5 Posted October 22, 2018 This is a pretty brave attempt to blackmail Apple, lol. So is there any updates as to what follows after?
