Possible solution for redundant forum posts

i just noticed that it is quite common to have redundant posts here on the forum.

some people just do not bother if it is a redundant post so they just post when they think about something without knowing if a related post is already posted about the same topic.

so yeah i think the solution should simply be a dropdown of search results while typing the post topic.

it works like this, so if i type "doge" all posts concerned to that will appear on the drowpdown so that users can be aware if the posted topic is already posted or not.

a great example of this is when you try to search on google. it somehow predicts what you type and shows you the topics on the dropdown. with this i strongly believe that redundant posts will be lessened and there will be no more excuses of no awareness of such topic being posted here already. :D

I think a big problem is that the each feature on the forum doesn't always give you the best outputs. So it has happened where I thought of an idea to post, I searched it, and nothing came up (even using some different keywords), and then boom! Te user who first thought of the idea comments on my post, linking back the original one. I really like this idea, as it will decrease the amount of similar topics posted on here about the same thing.

From your idea, how about implement it on the Title Box when creating a topic? So instead of searching, the suggestions (or some call as autocomplete) will be shown when a keyword is typed on the Title box.

I like this idea! That way when users are creating a topic, it will show topics that are already created. Kind of like when you start typing something into google, and it gives a whole bunch of suggestions of stuff people have already searched for :)
