The owner, Eddie, is a great deceiver and manipulator. I think these are the skills needed to make a casino big.

The main goal for him is to get the coins of the players into his own pocket and invest a little back to make the casino grow a bit more, and he is very successfull in this. 

Second thing is that he has absolutely no consience and therefore is able to have 0 respect and anything close to appreciation to the players who made it all possible for him.
