davinmark Posted October 28, 2018 #1 Posted October 28, 2018 Helloo everyone today im so curious about "When we're gonna stop our gambling" Maybe its weird to talk it out in here. but yeahhh.. do you have any plans to stop gambling and leave Stake forever? I mean, there is so many people said "If you get the win already from gambling, you should take the money and runaway" So yeah, do you have any plan on it? for me i think ill never leave Stake because there is so many Giveaway in every weeks! so even im not gambling, i still can earn some a little bit money when i win the Giveaway / Challange What's your thought?
bobdole Posted October 28, 2018 #3 Posted October 28, 2018 I doubt I will ever stop even if I won thousands. It's too addictive when you're on that high and you can't lose inevitably leading to a devastating crash, but can't stop chasing the high. Lol

irawk0 Posted October 28, 2018 #6 Posted October 28, 2018 I believe people at Stake can be generally divided into 3 groups: 1. Those who are addicted to gambling so much they will never quit (most likely because of trying to recover accumulated loss the size of the moon :p) 2. Those who live in countries with very unstable economy, where crypto-currency's volatile nature is actually more stable. So they are gambling to provide a living. These people will most likely live off passive/rains/giveaways and will never leave Stake until those are gone. And let's face it, giveaways will never go away simply because it attracts more customers = more money for Stake. 3. Those who actually work irl with decent enough pay and only gamble on here with spare change (like a day's wages) every so often to pass the time and stop boredom. I'm #3 here. I'll never stop gambling (but with very safe bank management) until either I retire, win 1btc (I'll come back ofc LOL), or I move to real-life casinos (literally when I stop getting harassed every 2 secs for ID check).

TKO Posted October 28, 2018 #8 Posted October 28, 2018 I don't think I'll be able to stop gambling. Besides, I don't want to. Unless it gets super bad in the future, I won't stop. I found a lotta nice people and great friends here on stake and so I'll never leave stake :D ❤️
kuba122388 Posted October 28, 2018 #10 Posted October 28, 2018 Stop if you Will have 1 btc XD. I lost 0.17 btc and 0.24 sad but i gave away about 0.05 So ^^
Moderator Flan Posted October 28, 2018 Moderator #11 Posted October 28, 2018 I don't know how i can quit. I believe in one day, if I got 1 BTC, I would bet it because my bad habits about greediness. I hope you not doing same like me, and you have some motivation to stop betting when you need money.
Clavem Posted October 28, 2018 #12 Posted October 28, 2018 Stake is a fantastic place to win and have fun while you bets ...
Snike Posted October 28, 2018 #13 Posted October 28, 2018 Gambling isn't something I personally do to achieve a goal or something. I do it for fun and to reach a level of excitement. I'll never stop because I can control my investments into it well enough!

Come for the gaming, stay for the community. Though I also like how @irawk0 broke it down. I'll stop gambling not when I have a set amount of money but when it's no longer any fun.
casinogambler Posted October 28, 2018 #15 Posted October 28, 2018 Come to think of it, I've never really started gambling, so never really have a beginning or an end. Gambling is a hobby at best for me, no more so than football or reading - so it's not like I'd leave it or make a decision to call it quits. Of course, I'm assuming I never develop a habit or addiction - but at my ripe old age, I hardly think my feelings or habits would evolve so drastically. Again, as I've pointed out before, my gambling deposits are something like entertainment deposits. If I get them back, great bonus, if I don't money well spent (so I don't all-in, I tend to make my deposits last a long time). Looking back, I do have spurts - but they're tied to football competitions. And how well I do in the beginning tends to dictate how long these spurts last. For example in 2015/16 I opened several new accounts with bookies taking advantage of first bet offers. Made the same bet on all of them (Liverpool) and won all the free bets. Something like 40/50 pounds and they all became several hundreds. Continued betting and as Liverpool reached all the way to the final... my balances reached almost a thousand pounds! They lost the final, and I lost MOST of my bets, but still ended up pocketing a small fortune. The very next season I lost deposits early. Never redeposited. Will I always continue gambling? For as long as dice and football are accessible to me, sure!
jortdeut Posted October 28, 2018 #16 Posted October 28, 2018 I wont stop gambling, im just gambling for fun 😄
jualid Posted October 28, 2018 #17 Posted October 28, 2018 I never think about it, maybe when i have other acitivity that can make me busy, i will stop gambling.
SovietDoggo Posted December 29, 2018 #18 Posted December 29, 2018 I am unsure at this point as I really don't know, I'm not sure if I'd want to but I probably will when more important things come up in my life, i'll have to give it up. A big event could change that too, for example a new hobby, getting into a serious relationship ect.
KiXxnTRiXx Posted December 29, 2018 #19 Posted December 29, 2018 I will end up stopping either wgen im dead, or literally unable to... Haha just kidding.. i dont know honestly, gambling in general is part of everyday life. You gamble just by stepping out of your house not knowing whats goung to happen. Gambling with money, well i really dont know, ive thought about it lots but can never come up with a clear straight forward answer.. When im dead is the only sure answer..
FotisNt Posted December 31, 2018 #20 Posted December 31, 2018 Hello, guess i will stop gambling after getting a really huge win even if it takes years. In fact that i dont gamble high balances yet ill soon make way bigger deposits so guess ill stop gambling in many many years:D. Also if i would lose a huge amount my gambling carrer would be over.
Kate Posted December 31, 2018 #21 Posted December 31, 2018 After I become rich or have a stable income from Bitcoin Trading or some other online business or maybe if Stake closes down.

I also gamble mostly for fun, and socially with my friends at the local casino. It is near impossible to make consistent profits at a casino, so I choose to spend my time gambling as entertainment instead of sitting at a bar, or going to a dance club
DreamStage Posted December 31, 2018 #23 Posted December 31, 2018 Well your question (topic's in question) may be ambiguous. If you mean stop gambling for ever, well i wouldn't say never unless there was some big decision in my life time. About leaving Stake.... Com'on, off course not why would someone leave it, it has every other game out there, even if it doesnt you are still fulfilled, given alot of options to play with. Where would you gather such nice environment, such Community love, Staff professionalism, events, giveaways, everything you can throw at it from Stake? The answer is simple: Nowhere -> for ever and ever Stake / PD
FotisNt Posted January 5, 2019 #24 Posted January 5, 2019 Im gonna quit gambling once i get a huge loss like more than 5000$ at once or if i get a high profit which would be able to provide me things that i cant afford.
Etude Posted January 5, 2019 #25 Posted January 5, 2019 At the current moment I am unable to imagine myself to stop gambling at all. It would just feel like something important is missing. Hmm.
