Mlc Posted November 3, 2018 #1 Posted November 3, 2018 Hello everyone . So you might have guessed from the title I’m having a rubbish so far on stake , I can’t seem to find what I call the rhythm, actually it’s been the same for around 3 days now but anyway, Anyone have any working strategy they don’t mind sharing,! Lately I have found myself getting annoyed more often the usual, I tried every trick I know , but I can’t seem to get in front , I have even gone as far as shouting at my iPad and rage quitting auto roll , then after taking a break I feel kind of silly for letting the game get to me like that. How many of you have gotten mad and shut down your computer of laptop when losing on stake, ? Do you scowl at the screen in utter disgust when you can’t get off the red streak , ? Iv seen lots of users in chat having there happy moments when they win which is great, but as soon as they lose they attack chat like no tomorrow with stupid reasons as to why they lost , scam this scam that bla bla Bla, but how many of you Seeth in silence behind your screen? Have you even gotten so worked up you literally want to throw something ? I would love you hear your thoughts ❤️
williamshennie9 Posted November 3, 2018 #2 Posted November 3, 2018 I used to get extremely mad when I first started gambling at my local casino a few years ago. But I've learnt that when I am mad, and feel like I "need" to make money, I just lose more. When I gamble calmly with the mindset of "I am prepared to lose x amount", and if I lose it, well at least I had fun, then I do tend to win more. You should remove emotions from gambling, and you should see better results
Etude Posted November 4, 2018 #3 Posted November 4, 2018 Sometimes when certain losses occur during critical moments that a win is of utmost importance.. and bam a loss.. at that very moment I do feel like throwing my phone.
Snike Posted November 4, 2018 #4 Posted November 4, 2018 Well that's the part with letting emotions take hand while you're gambling. It might seem like a rigged bet or a rigged streak but if you review it after you've calmed down you'll see that it's you that caused it to happen. I, personally, raged so hard that I legit went into chat and started fights with everyone. That ending in me being muted for a week. But I've changed my behavior and I've been way calmer ever since.

JEEPERS0029 Posted November 4, 2018 #6 Posted November 4, 2018 Hi! I'm not going after the chat, it's useless at all! but yes indeed I have already farted watts by having lost important sums for me! I'm on two phones, a keyboard and a mouse! and a felted toe (in my wall)!and so on! XD now I have more choice I relativize and I take it upon myself, first of all because I understood that I can yell but not break, its cost more expensive and then I have a wife who told me that if it was to react like that I had only to stop!and she's right!! but I still have some bloodshed!!!XD Hi! 😀
EddieFx Posted November 4, 2018 #7 Posted November 4, 2018 Just keep track of your emotions and you will be fine, good luck in the future Mlc!
Moderator Flan Posted November 5, 2018 Moderator #8 Posted November 5, 2018 that I do when i lose bet, even with just small bets. I dunno why, but rethinking again. I was that stupid, so I decide to make a dedication first, for example : " I use this money for fun, If I'm still doing rage when losing. I will do push-ups for 100 times" After making that dedication, I almost doing fine when losing. But sometimes , I still doing some rage/rant, and still doing those push-ups. It can make my weight decreased too! Because I don't really like workout like push-ups. I prefer doing a jogging or sit-ups. You can use this example for your rage problem, maybe replace for doing what do you dislikes.

TKO Posted November 5, 2018 #10 Posted November 5, 2018 This has happened to me more times than I can say. Not on stake though, because I've only ever deposited once here and taken out 10x of that deposit, but on other sites I gave infact deposited over 500$ in total and always been in the negative spectrum. Everyone has said its about the emotions, but its also about chasing losses. Chasing losses is when you double your bet or triple your bet to recover and get in profit in one bet and this is usually what screws people. Also, I have realised that taking a 20-30 minute break during a losing streak really helps you calm down and when you come back you realise it was smart of you to not go all in and chase losses! Be careful! ❤️
ScooterPi Posted November 5, 2018 #11 Posted November 5, 2018 No matter what the outcome.....rage quitting is always going to be an infinitely better choice than rage betting! I think that a rage quit, when games are just not going right for you, is the best choice of all. Log out, go do other things that don't involve losing satoshi! Take a break for more than a moment. Chances are very good that when you return - you will win!
wry Posted November 5, 2018 #12 Posted November 5, 2018 You're playing a game that is mathematically against you for money - so it should be fun. I have a strict rule that if I am not having fun I stop, break time, no exceptions. So either I hit my win target and go do something fun with my winnings or walk away once the fun is gone. This was a hard learned lesson, as it is hard to stop when winning and even harder to stop when losing, but better to quit, raging or otherwise, than to keep losing and hate yourself over something that is supposed to be fun.

blueprints Posted November 6, 2018 #14 Posted November 6, 2018 Yeah this is usually a sign that you need a break. Even if its just 30 minutes.

hillowner45 Posted November 6, 2018 #16 Posted November 6, 2018 Yeah...normally after a big loss you feel salty for the rest of the day. Normally a nap helps to reset the mood. Gambling does teach you to regulate and be self aware of your emotions which can transfer into other areas of life. An expensive lesson but a lesson none the less.

If you win yes it would be fun, but if you lose? Lol, you will become more rage and mad.
jualid Posted November 6, 2018 #18 Posted November 6, 2018 2 hours ago, BLXN said: I dunno - i just busted a lil bit, trying to get something going- I've learned that you can't really play too cautiously in this game because you will slip up in the long run looking for the profit you could have had in a much shorter time with riskier play. You must consider the money you put into the machine as lost as soon as it is deposited. This is basic Bushido. Flawless detachment. A samurai discards his life on the battlefield, and engages his destiny boldly. Yeah, you need to manage your bankroll and know how much money you bet per game.
meggiemegs Posted November 19, 2018 #19 Posted November 19, 2018 Yes I have gotten better with it but I used to be worse I would get so mad I would just keep betting until my balance was gone lol. I have been better lately by just quitting for a while and doing something else that I like or makes my mood better then come back. In the long run I will be more mad if I rage bet all my balance versus just taking a break and coming back with a clear head.
blueprints Posted November 19, 2018 #20 Posted November 19, 2018 Mic i have had similiar issue and have thought for past two years on what to do to get to that feel again and how i get ot it when i do. So far i believe the key, is Relaxation and Focus. Free your mind of stress, worry, dont bother looking at your balance, and try to raise your bets without it affecting your feelings and thoughts because thats where im at just keeping my cool and focus when i raise my bets in the middle of having that rythm because its easy to get distracted on the value, your balance, and other feelings like frustration anxiety stress desperation usually follow. Start betting wtih small bets until you get a feel for it, and then once you see yourself hitting those greens when you switch (oh this is specifically for dice) then try to calmly and quickly raise your bet without your mind noticiing. I Stare at the roll numbers and try to avoid looking at my balance.
