irawk0 Posted November 5, 2018 #1 Posted November 5, 2018 Hey all, I finally decided to give Primedice a try since it is like the forerunner of Stake and I play dice alot. I noticed players' stats include something called "Luck": I'm curious does anyone know what this means? And is it possible to implement something like this (hopefully not in general, but rather on specific games) on Stake as well? It'd be fun to know just how much lady luck is in your favor in certain games/currency etc, as well as knowing which games to avoid lol (cough chartbet/plinko cough). What do you guys think?
dionyour Posted November 5, 2018 #2 Posted November 5, 2018 its a program, there is no luck hehehe joke
Sherazi118 Posted November 5, 2018 #3 Posted November 5, 2018 Its probably Fair bro its depend on hashes.if u speak in normal its same thing like luck,
williamshennie9 Posted November 5, 2018 #4 Posted November 5, 2018 It basically starts at 100%, and increases or decreases depending on your "luck". You "luck" is determined by the theoretical wins (given the 1% house edge), versus your actual wins. So if you roll 100 times, and win 50 of those games, your luck will be 100.5% (since you should only win 49.5% of the time, if you are playing 2x). It is an average of your lifetime rolls, so the more you play, the longer it will take to update, since it is an average. Hope that helps
Moderator Flan Posted November 5, 2018 Moderator #5 Posted November 5, 2018 I thought primedice was a seer 😂 Maybe it was programmed from your recent bets. Reset per day, and make the basis at 100%. When you make a bet, and lost, luck reduced. If you win, luck increased. That is my thought about it. Maybe, I want to try give a shot at primedice in future. I really losing streak in this Stake dicey games.
irawk0 Posted November 5, 2018 Author #6 Posted November 5, 2018 Ah, so it's only a way to tell you how many games you've won vs how many you SHOULD've won. It does seem like quite a nice feature, aka when I reach 105% luck I should really change seed/stop playing the game/lower bet etc because there is an upcoming loss streak. @DanIs there a way to add that on here? But hopefully for each individual game? I know with PD it's just dice but it'd be nice to know just how many wins I should be getting/what's my luck % on games like chartbet/plinko etc lol
Etude Posted November 5, 2018 #7 Posted November 5, 2018 I think it is how about better you are doing in comparation to the house edge % in your overall statistics.

It will be extremely difficult to implement on games like mines and hilo, even blackjack, because the outcome is determined by a string of cards (or placement of the mines). You are responsible for cashing out when you want, so "luck" on games where the outcome is determined by you are extremely difficult to implement something like this. But if they can implement it, I'm all for it Chatbet and plinko and dice and diamond poker and the wheel could probably use this
Featured Comment Dan Posted November 5, 2018 Featured Comment #9 Posted November 5, 2018 Luck percentage is a subjective value. If you want to check what it is for your account, you can look it up on the API @ https://api.stake.com/graphql query { user { luckFactor } } Use the above query, and authenticate by placing your API token from https://stake.com/account/settings/api-tokens into the http headers component at the bottom of the API page lick this: { "x-access-token": "paste API token inside here" }
