Snike Posted November 7, 2018 #1 Posted November 7, 2018 There are a lot of people that say "Gambling is all about highs and lows!" so by their theory you should play through lows and wait for one of these highs to occur. Due to personal experience I bust my whole balance before I even reach those highs after a low so I never play along their playstyle... But if you have a big balance and you play with a relatable bet size and you hit one of your lows and lose 25-50% of your whole balance. Would you go on and hope for this high to come after the low or are you taking a break to calm down and try another time after a couple of hours?
Etude Posted November 7, 2018 #2 Posted November 7, 2018 Definitely would suggest to take a break after suffering big losses as your mind would not be in a good state at all to continue. Having clarity of mind is definitely recommended in Gambling.
lupandina Posted November 7, 2018 #3 Posted November 7, 2018 I like to saying: Your profit isn't that max amount, you was succeed to reach at some point of playing. Your profit is what you was succeed to withdraw So no point to chase it, try to "recover that 0.xxxx I just recently had"
Owl182 Posted November 7, 2018 #4 Posted November 7, 2018 Personally i have noticed that after some time, win or lose my concentration can tend to wander & i then tend to lose faster as apposed to staying even or gaining, i must admit i dont take "big" chances when playing but this is also more because i play for entertainment & not to make money (not here anyway), another scenario is i have noticed at times all my choices just seem to go the other way, as i generally play hilo this is obviously a bad thing lol, more tan once i have then made the choice not to play for a while and i will participate in chat or mess around with other games etc, as i'm only online during the day while at work it doesn't really make any difference if i close the site or not though but ja, taking a break from actual playing, i think its important to do so every now and then...
williamshennie9 Posted November 7, 2018 #5 Posted November 7, 2018 Chasing losses will lead to a bust, it is not worth it. Rather come back the next day if you want to recoup your losses...
EddieFx Posted November 7, 2018 #6 Posted November 7, 2018 Yeah, take a break and chill for a second than get back and play again in a few hours or the next day
davinmark Posted November 8, 2018 #7 Posted November 8, 2018 I personally take a break first. Bcoz i need to calm my mind to avoid the greed
jualid Posted November 9, 2018 #8 Posted November 9, 2018 Depends, if i have much money left, i think i will keep continue and try to win back my loses.
Moderator Flan Posted November 9, 2018 Moderator #9 Posted November 9, 2018 I take my mind into doing another things. So I can avoid another loss problem after losing streak. I stopped and listening youtube or watch some films to stop thinking my losses.
Mikehoncho Posted November 10, 2018 #10 Posted November 10, 2018 This is always my problem. I chase lows to busy Everytime everywhere. I always feel like, there's no way I can lose again until my stack is nearing bust. Then I'm just like allinyolof-it.
Dan Posted November 12, 2018 #11 Posted November 12, 2018 I firmly believe that the biggest trait of a successful gambler, or even just someone who's successful in life in general is their ability to make smart decisions in stressful and emotional times. I have seen so many people (including myself) make irrational decisions when they are conflicted by emotions or even just others influences. Being able to stop and think before going all in just because you lost a little, is never the right decision. We work so hard on our strategies and most the time those strategies work. So when we hit a bump in the road, its important to remember that we got to where we were using our strategy and our strategy will work if we just stick to it, and not stray for our discipline and just risk it all.
wry Posted November 12, 2018 #12 Posted November 12, 2018 Always take breaks, always. You are playing a game that is mathematically against you, so it must be fun in order to compensate. If you are not having fun then STOP, go do something productive. So set a win target for winning and if you are not having fun stop playing. If you do these two things you can never "lose" you'll either make money by beating the odds and winning or you'll be sure to have had a good time for the money you play. One of the nice things about online casinos is it is so easy to walk away, you don't have to call a cab or anything, just walk away from the computer or put your phone back in your pocket!
Kate Posted November 12, 2018 #13 Posted November 12, 2018 Umm usually what everyone does after a big bust lets say for example a person busts around 0.01573 BTC and that guy has like around 0.001 BTC left in his balance then he would like usually try to make the 0.01573 back that he had busted. But what he really must do is actually take a break and not play for the rest of the day or not play for like 3 to 6 hours just to freshen his mind up and give the site to refresh.
ScooterPi Posted November 12, 2018 #14 Posted November 12, 2018 It is sooooo easy to be angry after big losses - and that has go to be the very worst time to place any type of wager!! I also agree with what Owl said above....when I let my mind wander too much, I tend to have higher losses.. Much much higher! If I am being active in chat, I will also try to not bet so much. Distraction is killer for me.
Mahdirakib87 Posted November 12, 2018 #15 Posted November 12, 2018 After losing big it's time to take rest for a sort time. Cause at this time we can't play good game as our mind will always remain existed to recover all quickly. But that's really leads to loss more. Sometimes big loss means you loss whatever you all have. Then there is nothing to do without taking rest. Cause there is no way to play more as you have nothing left. That's happened to me few days ago. And now I'm hopping for miracle. Hopping that I would get something and I can recover my losses slowly. We shouldn't gamble with our whole balance. We should play with a little fixed amount what we can afford to loss and after loss we can recover it by remain balance slowly.
chrisconn63 Posted November 12, 2018 #16 Posted November 12, 2018 me personally after a big win with as good sized balance cant handle the greed so i start betting high and sometimes it comes out good but i usually end up busting. i do manage to wd a good portion usually beforehand atleast. but my playstyle is just dumb and reckless. i really shouldnt gamble
Realraidengod Posted December 11, 2018 #17 Posted December 11, 2018 it helps when you take a break but i dont have many patients lol so i always end up losing everything so i suggest when you hit a big red streak that you take a break and chill cuz when go right back in after a losing streak you aren't thinking straight and you start playing recklessly.

Mateusz Posted December 14, 2018 #22 Posted December 14, 2018 In my opinion in this case of gambling it doesnt change your thing cuz your playstyle does not increase your chance of winning, if we were talking about some poker then taking a break is a decent option

OsmaNN Posted April 2, 2019 #24 Posted April 2, 2019 i always do martingale. but this is a really bad thing. maybe take a break never tried.
DariusBrasov Posted April 2, 2019 #25 Posted April 2, 2019 I try to keep my main ballance in vault. After I bust I usualy close stake and come back a few hours later, withdraw more from vault and play.
