Etude Posted December 21, 2018 #26 Posted December 21, 2018 There are probably more bad aspects in comparation to the positive aspects of Gambling in general but well.. let's take a quick look: Positive aspects - A good entertainment source, chance for making money from a small amount to a large amount, friendships with other gamblers Negative aspects - It is definitely a money draining activity, easily cause and emcourage you to bet and feel impulsive/emotional, might cause relationship problems with friends/family/loved ones when it begins to harm them, yourself or both, possibility of causing a financial trouble blackhole. So in a glance on the points it would seem the negative aspects outweights the positive IF gambling is out of control. When done in gambling is actually done in moderation, it is mostly possible to avoid the negative aspects of course and just enjoy the positive aspects.
KiXxnTRiXx Posted December 21, 2018 #27 Posted December 21, 2018 It all depends on your own perception on what is negative or positive. Same as when people say "today is a bad/sad", the day is neither bad or sad, it is our own perception of how the day is that make it so. Another example would be when someone loses a big amount of cash and ends up homeless. Most people would automatically say thats a negative, and it can be. But that situation would be an eye opener to give the person in question to look at things differently and will have to work hard to get back on his feet. Now equipped with this experience and knowledge of the circumstances of gambling out of control, the lesson learned from this "negative", i would say that is a very postive event in ones life which gave the person the opportunity to grow.
hustler1984 Posted December 21, 2018 #28 Posted December 21, 2018 for me i think the only positive outcome is if i win a million and quit.. otherwise im just going to be a grumpy old man for the rest my life
kayke94 Posted December 21, 2018 #29 Posted December 21, 2018 nope as a gambler im sure you will allways end up losing !
CaptainLorca Posted December 21, 2018 #30 Posted December 21, 2018 The time you start gambling already puts you on lose. The money you thrown in is profit and lose at the same moment. Not part of your general balance anymore.
xtinepink Posted December 21, 2018 #31 Posted December 21, 2018 There are some things to be thankful about gambling and there will also be a downside to that. One good side of gambling is that you can meet other people online or offline, you get to share your thoughts, ideas, strats and eventually have a friend where you can talk to. Ofc don’t forget the wins from small bet to big payout. In the long run gambling can be bad especially when you cannot control it. This will mean that you start to loan, sell everything and you can even give yourself stress.
Realraidengod Posted December 21, 2018 #32 Posted December 21, 2018 there is always a positive aspect in gambling. but some people have the mindset of house always win if you stop on time house wont win
Maverick11 Posted December 21, 2018 #33 Posted December 21, 2018 being a gambler is a very hard aspect to deal with in my everyday life and plus accepting the burden that causes my family by not being there 100% with them, it was somewhat entertainning and fun at the beggining but now it just turned depressing and very emotional. im trying to tame my mind off gambling so i can be functional in my everyday thing
clariaaaa Posted December 22, 2018 #34 Posted December 22, 2018 for non hardcore gamblers. it is the perfect entertainment. just dont get addicted then it should be ok
SovietDoggo Posted December 26, 2018 #35 Posted December 26, 2018 Seeing I have no profit on here, I wouldn't say it is really positive unless you look at how you meet people on here who meet and are friends with. Unless you are lucky and profit all the time I wouldn't say there is a great deal of positive aspects to gambling on stake.
Shaniqua Posted December 26, 2018 #36 Posted December 26, 2018 i think if you partake in gambling for the entertainment and social aspect of it, then that is positive...... if you enjoy it, and if you do not get carried away with it... if its under control and it is enjoyed... then that's positive... but its not for me...
