bmg Posted November 18, 2018 #1 Posted November 18, 2018 Visa with Crypto.com announces that they will be launching The prepaid cards, which have no annual, monthly and ATM withdrawal fees, its can be ordered from the wallet and card app of the crypto currency payment platform. The application allows users to purchase, sell, store, send crypto currencies. Customers can also use it to spend their digital coins in stores accepting Visa through conversion to fiat money without being charged exchange fees. It sounds a lot like it will be something like Visa Bitpay. https://news.bitcoin.com/the-daily-us-bank-to-issue-crypto-cards-coinbase-updates-wallet/
wry Posted November 18, 2018 #2 Posted November 18, 2018 I am a big Bitpay prepaid card fan, but one without any ATM fees would be even better! I've seen a couple of these promise a lot and then never actually happen, so we'll see! Thanks @bmg!
Mlc Posted November 18, 2018 #3 Posted November 18, 2018 I also have a bitpay pre paid card , although I have never used it , I do use the wallet though , would be fantastic if there was one with lower fees , thanks for the info x❤️
bmg Posted November 18, 2018 Author #4 Posted November 18, 2018 i have Visa Bitpay and i love it . I can transfer btc from my wallet straight to the card and it and it never takes longer thank a few minutes and i can use my card anywhere Visa is excepted.
Kate Posted November 18, 2018 #5 Posted November 18, 2018 I always wanted to acquire the Bitpay Card but unfortunately they don't support my country. With this coming I hope they make it world wide and not just limited to ceetain countries so that there is a wider range of customers.
blueprints Posted November 19, 2018 #6 Posted November 19, 2018 the only thing i dont like about these cards is the fee's they charge.
windblade Posted November 19, 2018 #7 Posted November 19, 2018 I wish they would offer a prepaid card without any ATM fees or at least 1 free fee ATM withdrawal per load. At least there isn't any monthly fee with the Bit Pay card, just the only fee is the replacement card and the ATM fee.
JEEPERS0029 Posted December 5, 2018 #8 Posted December 5, 2018 Hi! so it's really great!! it already exists? and if so I haven't heard about it!I'm in France!!! because I'd really be interested in this card but at home I really feel like they're completely behind! but well...! in any case with this kind of initiative crypto should increase in value! right??
Carollzinha Posted December 6, 2018 #9 Posted December 6, 2018 I didn't get it.. if it is free of charge what's their benefit in having such a card?

Prepaid cards give them the use of your money until you spend it, so they can make money off the float. Also they make money when you use their card as the "issuing bank", it's a small percent, but non-zero. Also there could be other fees, e.g. foreign exchange, inactivity, that were not mentioned in the press release but will be in the fine print.

So basically what "normal" banks do here in Brazil.. and most all the time they end eating your kidneys with so many fees if you won't pay attention at it lol
