[Suggestion]: Trivia a bit different (upgrade)

Hello everyone, GriffinReynolds here!

I was just chatting with some friends and saw an moderator and he was telling that if someone makes a trivia and the trivia runs out of control that is considered as spam and maybe the guy who made the trivia will maybe get punished for that.

I think for some trivias that are a bit hard to make hints to find the answer. I mean like having a hint option(which is not mandatory), and if I make a strong and hard trivia If I want I would pick a hint to be easier. Because I’ve seen many times people spam at easy trivias too.

That would be a great option for trivias in my opinion, I would use it everytime I make trivias.

I mean for knowledge trivias and not Math, or speed

Eg.:  Who is the president of USA? - Hint: ... Because I’ve seen many players are doing it by theirself but it would be a bit more beautiful like this.

I think this is a good idea man.

People do it in the question sometimes, but maybe add a timer like after 30 seconds the hint pops up?

Yeah that’s what I forgot to mention too, if no one answers correctly the hint pops up automatically and not force the players cancel the trivia and check by theirself one by one answers and announce the winners..

Because I’ve made several times many mistakes by announcing by myself the winner while no one found the answer and then I’ve announced the wrong winner and gave him the prize. That’s a really good idea it will decrease the spam.

I do agree trivias can get spammy, like if someone says: Guess the number between 1 and 100. But generally trivias are fun and engaging for the community

I think these are good ideas.    I like the timer thing.    After 60 seconds no one gets it then the trivia is canceled.

Well I think developers should be more focused to the bugs and fixes more than upgrading something or creating something else. Stake has many bugs that are not fixed for a long time. When they fix first the bugs then can continue doing the other things.

I think the only trivias that should be not allowed is ones that ask you to give wild random guesses. Other then these i would argue that it be an unjust threat/mute.
 

Especially since the host is being nice enough to share with everyone in the first place.

In my opinion, if it had a timer and clue/hints on the trivia, It will be good. 

Timer can be made for a shorter trivia. More like 5-15 seconds was enough for that.

Clue for not behaving wild guess that make spams and sometime insults. 

That is great suggestion for us that want to create more fun trivia.

Yeah, trivia like this always get spammy. A hard and unique trivia will be good, non google trivia too.

Oh the timer suggestion is a good idea! I mean its not like hosts cant think of questions fast.

Well it is but if they get it within a time frame of 5 seconds it's not

Well giving a hint is a good Idea but it will make it too easy for the users to win. Trivia's should be knowledge based on Old History and New updated present. Also this suggestion might only be picked my moderators but if you're the one doing the trivia then you can either give a hint or not ( if the question is very easy ). 

Also most users just google the answer. The spam comes in when trivia's are asked about a person's favoritism. For eg : What is @Bojana's favorite colour ? So in this case the chat will be flooded with Spam.

The only part that is not working for the Trivia Bot is the tipping to the winner part, it does selects the winner but an error shows when you try to tip it. It has to instead be done manually.

Yeah Etude i have that error with the Trivia Bot when someone  wins the Trivia it showes tip the user who won but when i select Tip it gaves me an Error so i have to do it manually

Indeed so best we can hope that the developers, especially Spike would look into this and solve it soon.. as it is likely just quick one line tweak of coding.

Well, the idea is *Hints should be mandatory and on every question should be a hint, so when the timer passes 15 seconds or 20-30 seconds TriviaBot will automatically tell the hint then it will be easier to find the answer*

Of cource if you make easy trivias you will add the hint but players will find the answer easily or if they dont find it there will be like a reserve(hint) where it will show up so the spam will end.

That’s the idea of doing that so it’s helpful in every way..

About the tipping part it’s just a bug and it can be easily fixed don’t worry..
